lirazel: An outdoor scene from the film Picnic at Hanging Rock ([btvs] coal bin)
Yes, that's right! It's complete! *dances with glee*

But before we get to the actual chapter, I need to ask a question. I hate to be a tease about this, but I'm considering writing a sequel to this story. Starring Dawn and a certain someone who may be more than he seems (also, probably with some Andrew and Lessie love. Because I love them). I just wanted to know if anyone would be interested in reading such a story. It would probably be very plotty, focused on Dawn's Keyness and the Immortal's backstory, as well as on their romance....There probably wouldn't be much Buffy and Spike (though I'd be positively shocked if they didn't show up for at least a few cameos), either.

Again, I'm not positive that I'm going to do it, and if I do, it might be quite some time before I get around to it, as I have other obligations that are quite time-consuming.

So my question is three-pronged: A) Would your read it, B) Would you read it even if I don't actually write it for a while, and C) Would those of you who don't watch my journal like for me to notify you via PM should I ever actually post said story.

Let me know! Now, on to the story!

Title: Love and Blackmail
Fandom: Buffyverse
Written for: [livejournal.com profile] good__evil's Art-a-Thon
Rating: PG-13
Timeline: post-"Not Fade Away"
Characters/Pairings: Dawn, Buffy/Spike, Andrew, the Immortal, OC Slayer
Warnings: Dawn worship. You heard me.
Installment: Three of three.
A/N: Title and summary quote come from "The Pomegranate" by Eavan Boland, one of my favorite poets. Artwork by the talented [livejournal.com profile] amyxaphania. And many, many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] angearia for enthusiasm, punishment ideas (you are as brilliantly devious as Dawn), and major help in revamping (heh!) the epilogue. I honestly couldn't have done it without you.
Summary: "Love and blackmail are the gist of it." Dawn knows exactly what her sister needs in order to move on after Sunnydale--and exactly how to make it happen.

Previous chapters here and here.

lirazel: An outdoor scene from the film Picnic at Hanging Rock ([btvs] extraordinary)
About a thousand and a half years ago, I posted the first part of a fic for [livejournal.com profile] good__evil"s Art-a-thon. You may or may not remember it. I subsequently got completely distracted by a million other things and I've only just recently returned to it. I apologize profusely that it took so long; I've had a blast writing it, and with some encouragement (*coughangeariacough*), I'm back with the next chapter! And I'm already working on the one after that!

So! On to the next chapter of Dawn-worship!

Part Two )

Continued in Part Three.
lirazel: An outdoor scene from the film Picnic at Hanging Rock ([btvs] we're gonna live forever)
Here's my other entry for [info]good__evil 's Art-a-thon.  When I first saw the beautiful banner and knew I wanted to write a fic for it, I thought I would write about the time between Spike leaving Drusilla in Brazil and her showing up in L.A. at Wolfram and Hart's invitation. But then I wanted to explore her past with angels, and so I reached back a little further in her history.  Finally, I threw out the canon idea altogether and decided to focus solely on who she was while alive--I've never seen anyone write that before (though if you know of such a fic, I would love to read it).  It's been really rewarding, and I sort of want to write some more about her pre-death.

Title:  Ministers of Grace
Challenge entry:  [livejournal.com profile] good__evil 's Art-a-thon
Fandom:  Buffyverse
Rating:  PG-13
Characters:  Drusilla, cameos by Angelus and Darla
Timeline:  1860
Summary:  Drusilla dreams of angels.

The incredibly beautiful and inspirational banner was made by the incredibly talented [livejournal.com profile] alwaysjbj .  Thank you so much!

lirazel: An outdoor scene from the film Picnic at Hanging Rock ([btvs] summers blood)
This story is completely different than anything else I've written (I guess Hostile Takeover comes closest, though), but I have had so much fun working on it.  It's my contribution to [livejournal.com profile] good__evil 's Art-a-thon and is inspired by the absolutely gorgeous banner by [livejournal.com profile] amyxaphania .

It's kinda fanon and less angsty than my usual stuff, and even though the plot is sheer Spuffy, Dawn's the hero here.  Maybe I have a weakness for her because I have a little sister that I would be willing to die for like Buffy did for Dawn.  Maybe because I can so easily understand how frustrating it is to be treated as though you're much younger than you are (just watch the show.  The Scoobies treat her like she's 8.  She's fourteen during S5!  It's angers me the way they treat her!).  Maybe I've just gotten so annoyed at having to defend her (she really is the single reason S5--in my opinion the best season, even if it isn't necessarily my favorite--works so well) that I've gotten to the point that I just adore her.  Either way, she's such fun to write, and I loved giving her her first starring role.

I'd love to bounce a few ideas for the next parts off of someone if anyone would like to volunteer by sending me a PM.  And of course, I welcome all thoughts on the story so far.

lirazel: An outdoor scene from the film Picnic at Hanging Rock ([btvs] blank slate)
Written for the [livejournal.com profile] good__evil  December challenge.

If we can’t have schmoop at Christmastime, when can we have schmoop? Here’s my offering of the warm and the fuzzies (with a bit of angst, because everything needs a bit of angst).

Title: The Silent Stars Go By
Fandom: Buffyverse
Characters/Pairings: Buffy/Spike
Rating: PG
Timeline: AU from "Destiny"
Challenge: [livejournal.com profile] good__evil  - December: Holiday season
A/N:  AU from AtS S5 “Destiny.” In my world, Spike recorporealizes and has a bit of a harder time adjusting to the world again (resurrections are hard. Buffy, Angel, and Darla have all taught us that). Oh, and the quote is from King Lear.
Summary:  She leans her forehead against the cool glass of the window and watches the stars.

lirazel: An outdoor scene from the film Picnic at Hanging Rock (Default)
My last minute entry to this month's [livejournal.com profile] good__evil.  I couldn't not meet this challenge: this month is Cordelia Chase, my favorite Buffyverse character.  Be prepared: unabashed Cordy-worship ahead and perhaps a bit of sappiness as well.

Title:  More Than One Day
Fandom: Angel the Series
Designation: Good Cordy
Challenge: [livejournal.com profile] good__evil June challenge: Cordelia
Rating: PG-13
Timeline:  This takes place in the final two episodes of Angel: “Power Play” and “Not Fade Away.”  Also, it completely ignores anything that might happen or be explained in the comics as I haven’t read them.
Disclaimer:  Joss is boss and all that, and William Shakespeare is a pretty close second, with Buddy Holly coming in third.  Joss owns the characters, Shakespeare owns all the quotes from King Lear, and Mr. Holly owns the closing quote and the title.
Summary:  There’s more than one front to every war, and somewhere along the line, Cordelia Chase became a champion.

Oh, y'all.  Just what I need--a new challenge community to become addicted to.  As if [livejournal.com profile] choco_cherries wasn't enough!

Have you heard of [livejournal.com profile] good__evil?  It's kind of the greatest thing ever--each month is dedicated to a different BtVS/AtS character and you write a fic, designate it good so-and-so or evil so-and-so, and have to be convincing.  Fun stuff (especially because this month is Cordy!  Expect to see some Cordy-worship soon!).  But right now they're having an awesome challenge, a "Love Is Everywhere" fest where you pick random numbers and are assigned random pairings.  How could I resist?  Here's the result of (one of) mine.

Title:  Even the Demons Tremble
Challenge:  "Love Is Everywhere Fest," [livejournal.com profile] good__evil
Pairing:  Anya/Doyle
Rating: PG-13
Category: Angst/Romance
Timeline: Massively AU; post-Buffy Season 5, but Doyle never died on Angel.
Summary:
In the end, it's only the ones of them who have demon in them who survive.
