I haven't written anything in months or posted any fic since January, but the ghost of dollsome (don't worry, she's not dead) briefly overtook me for like thirty minutes this morning and I posted a thing:

I wrote a fic for my favorite book when I was 11 years old (and 12, and 13, and 14), Mara: Daughter of the Nile by Eloise Jarvis McGraw. My recipient also had an intense childhood affection for the book, which made it a delight to write--truly my favorite thing about Yuletide is the way that you can end up delighting someone else who loves an obscure thing the way you do! It's what keeps me participating year after year!

My recipient seemed to love it and that is what makes me happiest about Yuletide.

Every time he hauled Wei Ying out in chains, used him as a piece of furniture, Wen Chao had been flaunting his power.

Wen Chao doesn't throw Wei Wuxian into the Burial Mounds. Lan Wangji finds him anyway. And then they both have to deal with the aftermath.
