This is exactly the kind of intelligence you most want people to bring to you. You’ve paid for years for lackluster news just so that when this news arrived, anyone who discovered it would run to you without hesitation. Don’t ruin that now.

As much as he resents it (it feels like weakness), Inej’s voice in his head is always right. He knows that as surely as he knows anything, and yet it still takes him a long, long time to get himself under control enough to respond.
