Yeah, I know so many people who are fans and I've been meaning to watch it from the beginning, but that'd be pretty hard for me to swallow (even though it is in a later season).
Because I'm sure I'd get attached to the awesome, then drive full-tilt into the misogyny and racism - BAM! *pain*
Yeah. Don't start. And I hate having to say that, because what the show does well, it does really, really well. But at this point, I can't in good conscience recommend it.
And it doesn't help that the fandom is full of misogyny, too, despite the fact that it's like 95% women. GRRRRR!!!!
