Well, I wasn't expecting that

Apparently, I've won some awards at the SunnyD Awards. Thanks so very much to those who nommed/voted! Y'all are beautiful people, and I don't deserve you.

*beams* Thank you! And congrats to the many people on my flist who took home awards as well. Such talent!

I keep finding pretty icons and not knowing if I should upload them. I mean, I do have lots of space now, but I also have quite a few shows to watch in the near future, which will invariably mean new icons to represent them. Do I really need an Anastasia icon? I mean, on what kind of post would I use it? Will people think I'm silly that I still love a cartoon as much as I do? Just how many Community icons do I need? Should I get rid of the Dean Winchester icon I never use anymore? But it's still there in the corner on my old Supernatural fics! When was the last time I used that icon of Peggy Olsen? A really long time ago, but I want to represent my Peggy-love in icon form, even if I never use it! If people who randomly visit my journal scroll through my userpics (and yes, I always scroll through people's userpics when I'm getting to know them, much like I check out people's bookshelves/DVD collections when I visit their houses for the first time) don't see that visual representation of my love of Peggy, how will they know if we're Peggy-loving soulmates? If I use a icon less than [this many] times, does that mean I should just go ahead and erase it? What's the cut-off!

*sigh* I thought once I had all this extra space the icon-angst would cease, but apparently not.

[eta] In light of discussion with [livejournal.com profile] angearia, I have decided the Anastasia icon is necessary. Please to be viewing it in the upper left-hand corner of this post. Admire! Oooh and aaah! Make me feel as though I made the right decision!

What the heck. I can always delete it later, right?

I've watched one and a half episodes of Torchwood and I'm currently downloading the pilot of The West Wing.

PREZZIES! /Buffy

So I checked my email this morning and I had not one but TWO presents waiting for me.

The first was a virtual gift from the Anonymous Tulip Fairy (I feel like there should be a crack!fic about this mysterious person!), which was a lovely, spring-y greeting on such a winter morning. Thank you, whoever you are!

The second was AWESOME BEYOND ALL REASON.

Y'all, look at this thing! )

Also, apparently it's Joy Day. I am a big fan of joy; I even have an icon about it. So here! Have some PIE! )

Yes, I know. I'm very silly. But I wish you all could visit me, and I would make you pie and biscuits (I make amazing biscuits) and sweet tea and other lovely things and we would watch some fabulous TV and chat about silly things and not go outside because it's cold, and it would be lovely. But since we can't do that, pretend we are. Have a virtual party with me!

I'll try to think of more joyful things later (maybe fic? Can I whip something up that quickly? We'll see!), and I wish you a joyful day!

Oh, and I almost forgot that I won an award: )

I think this might be a good day!

*big grin*

Okay, I'm pretty excited about this--shininess is always nice, right?--but the comment about Ministers of Grace made me blush so red and made my day.

Photobucket

thank you so much to anyone involved with the [livejournal.com profile] fangfetish Awards, and congrats to the other winners!

(no subject)

I say it every time, but Spuffy fandom is the award-givingest (I'm Southern, shut up) fandom I've ever seen.

Aw!  Thanks so much, y'all!  Congrats also to those who won stuff, too!

Awards!

The Fang Fetish award winners are up!  Congrats to those of you on my flist who won things--you're all so talented!

Here are my pretties )

Also, I've been nominated at the Spuffy Awards and at the Rogue Poet Awards, which pleases me greatly.  Thanks, y'all.

Also-also, replies to those of you who reviewed "Ars Poetica" soon.  Life's been a bit crazy the past few days, but I greatly appreciate your kindness.

Also-also-also, now that I finally finished up with [livejournal.com profile] seasonal_spuffy , I really need to start working on my fics for [livejournal.com profile] good__evil .  Thankfully, I know what I'm doing with them; I just need to take a little while to actually finish them.

Awards are shiny!

I've been in fandom since I was thirteen and been involved in a lot of different fandoms since then, but I can honestly say I've never seen a fandom that gives out awards as much as the Buffy one does.  Thank you so very much to everyone who nominated/voted for me.  It means so much.

This is just to say...

I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox
Oh, wait.  That's not what I meant at all.  (My apologies to William Carlos Williams.)  Let me start over.

This is just to say that I'm on spring break vacation with my family (more on that later) and the internet has been incredibly spotty, which I wasn't expecting at all.  So for those of you who are wondering why I haven't been replying to your posts, that's why (yes, for once, it's actually not my fault).  And for those of you who are waiting for more fic from me...it might not be till Sunday or Monday that I get the next post of I.I.I. posted.

In other news, thanks so much to whoever nominated me for the Reader's Choice Award at Rogue Poet Awards.  Look!  A little button-y thingie!

Expect upcoming posts on:

My Buffy paper for my Lit Theory class!  (I have a tentative thesis!  Which is great considering that this is due in a week and a half!)
Vacation-y goodness
Dollhouse
Battlestar Galactica if I ever catch up (I'm kind of dreading doing so because I have a feeling the ending is going to be a gigantic letdown, but that's a whole 'nother story)
My paranoia over graduation/job search
The fact that Press Gang may be the greatest show ever and I have a new OTP involving a leather-clad, smart-ass guy named Spike who thinks he's a badass but is really a big softie with a thing for bossy, capable, strong women

But for now...I hope everyone is having a much better March than you did February (which generally sucked for everyone, didn't it?) and life is treating y'all wonderfully and I miss you and I'll hopefully be spamming your journals soon.

That is all.

P.S. How awesome is it that "bitchy" on my moodtheme is Jackie letting someone have it?  I worship Jackie Burkhart and aspire to her level of awesome.

Awards

Also, while I was gone, I won awards!  Pretty, pretty banners!  Oh, they’re so lovely, and since I’ve never really won anything before, I’m kind of dazed by it all.  Take a look!

shiny! )

I just want to thank again everyone who read this story, left feedback, and especially those who may have nominated/voted for them.  It means a lot to me to know that people care about what I write.  Thank you, once again.
