We didn't have tv until I was...about sixteen, maybe? And I've never really gotten used to it. I have a tendency of watching a show and then suddenly deciding I'm finished here (eg. s1 Heroes). I like TV better than movies in a lot of ways, especially for the reasons you've mentioned, but I'm not always good with watching it as it's on. I'm good with DVD sets; we're good old pals, me and The Entire Collection! DVD's. Also, all my shows end up getting cancelled, so. It can really suck knowing everything that's going on behind the scenes of a show, especially re: cancellation/ratings :(

I'm good with DVD sets; we're good old pals, me and The Entire Collection! DVD's. Oh, absolutely. Most of the shows I'm really into, I watched most if not all of them in season- or series-sized chunks. I greatly prefer that as well, and I so hear you on the getting canceled thing.
