Three Sentence Fic-a-Thon

Let's do this thing!

THE THREESentenceFIC-A-THON

In this challenge, you write a fic consisting of only three sentences in response to a prompt. All fandoms/characters/ships are welcome, and you can leave as many prompts and write as many fic as you like. Please leave only one prompt per comment, though there can be multiple fic "answers" to each prompt.

Format:

Fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence

Please go here for more in-depth instructions, examples, and to ask any questions or voice any concerns you may have.

Pimp far and wide, please! The more participants, the more fic! And if someone wants to whip up a banner or something, that would be great!

Go forth and fic!

Thank you! I think the freedom of your prompt ran away with me; that and having the three-sentence limit encouraging me to step outside my usual style and get creative in order to find the dimensions for the words and story I wanted to tell.

Also, your own Illyria three-sentence-fic inspired a bit of the poetic in me. And that totally fuels my ability to channel Spike--guttural and poetic. There's something about the depths you can plumb in his character that never fails to draw me in and love him more.

And all this reading of Lauren's fic is teaching me how to make the most of parentheticals and dashes. Those three sentences I just wrote were almost 350 words--I think I was verging on abusing grammar to suit my ends. :-P

Aw! That's so lovely to hear! I sometimes feel I rely too much on parentheticals and dashes, but they allow for a freedom of digression that gives me a lot of room for nuance that wouldn't fit in a more streamlined style.

At any rate, with this little ficlet, you've definitely proven that you know how to use them powerfully.
