Three Sentence Fic-a-Thon

Let's do this thing!

THE THREESentenceFIC-A-THON

In this challenge, you write a fic consisting of only three sentences in response to a prompt. All fandoms/characters/ships are welcome, and you can leave as many prompts and write as many fic as you like. Please leave only one prompt per comment, though there can be multiple fic "answers" to each prompt.

Format:

Fandom, character/pairing, prompt word/sentence

Please go here for more in-depth instructions, examples, and to ask any questions or voice any concerns you may have.

Pimp far and wide, please! The more participants, the more fic! And if someone wants to whip up a banner or something, that would be great!

Go forth and fic!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Harmony - might-have-beens

It was fun, being young and cute forever - at first - and then the twenty-second century came along, bringing middle-age into vogue and leaving her too young to get a job and permanently treated like a child.

She wondered who she would have become had she stayed alive, whether wrinkles would have given her face the dignity she craved as much as every magazine wanted her to, whether she would ever have seen the light and gone silver-flecked-brunette before '96 and escaped the burdensome, cringe-worthy memories of her look up to the 80s.

It hurt to realise the answer: probably not.

Oh, Harmony. Of course out of everyone, she'd be the one to survive. (Also: how much do I love the idea of middle-agedness being in fashion?)

Strangely enough, I can better imaging Harmony still bobbing around a hundred years from now than I can Spike (I think it's the acquired penchant for heroic deaths).

I think I agree with you. Whereas Harmony abounds in survival instinct - it's one of her key post-turning features.

Thanks...this is great!

I love the idea of forcing Harmony into serious situations (and sometimes other humorous characters, too). I like to see if I can get them to grow, even a little, without wrecking the character completely.

Glad you liked it!

*nods* I think Harmony has a lot to offer (musical puns aside).

Nice! Aw, Harmony. I love her because she tries so hard. ♥

Oh, Harmony. Still so shallow. Lovely.

Shallow, but surviving! Thanks. :)

There are so many things that Harmony can't ever do now that she's a vampire, but one ever tells you about that before you become one.

She can't be an Olympic beach volleyball player, for example (not that she was on track to becoming one anyway, but it sort of sucks to have the option taken away, along with virtually hundreds of others) and she can't go on Survivor, unless they invent some kind of all-vampire Survivor that only films at night (or in Antactica).

It's so unfair: all her dream careers are out of her reach now (Harmony looks really good in a bikini, too).

Alas! Most of the options available to pretty but vapid blondes require a tolerance for sunlight. Poor Harmony.

Thanks...that was funny.
