I haven't seen The Blind Side, either (though I've heard it's better than you would think), but there is no way on God's green earth that it is a better-made, acted, directed, written, designed, etc. movie than Bright Star, which is a glorious work of art, from start to finish. You should check it out, if you get the chance.

Yeah, Bright Star is at the top of my list of movies to watch, with Hurt Locker a close second. I think I am mostly prejudiced against The Blind Side because of the trailers, but I too heard that it was better than it looked. And I always enjoy Sandy Bullock.
Yes, everyone's told me the trailers are nothing like the movie, but they were AWFUL. And I'm quite fond of her, too, and still have a great fondness for While You Were Sleeping, even though I generally hate romcoms.
