lirazel: An outdoor scene from the film Picnic at Hanging Rock ([dh] we'll look for each other)

Um, y'all?

So there's this Dollhouse spoiler I want to flail over for a while, okay? I'll put it behind a cut so you can avoid it if you want. BUT YOU SHOULD READ IT, BECAUSE YOU WILL BE HAPPY.

So I know everyone else is freaking out over Ray Wise and Summer Glau and Jamie Bamber and Alexis Denisof and everything--and that's awesome--but this is what got me excited about the next season:

He says that Echo will try to put together a team to uncover the Dollhouse’s secrets. “We’ll see who’s on her side and who not so much.” And expect a lot more with the sexed up Dolls Sierra and Victor, “who can’t keep their hands off each other.” Echo sees that lust, he says, “an indication that they’re ready to be pushed” to a higher level of awareness. Sounds like good team member potential there.

Okay, admittedly, I don't much care about seeing Sierra sexed up since she's been such a sexual victim thus far in the series and I don't want to go there again--though if she gets to own her sexuality this time around, that'll be cool.

I'M JUST EXCITED BECAUSE THIS MEANS MORE VICTOR AND SIERRA! AND VICTOR/SIERRA! YAYYAYYAYYAYYAYYAYYAY!

Also, it sounds like Echo might possibly be interesting this season. Which would be good. We shall see.

In celebration, I am reawtching "Epitaph One," and I'm going to write some Victor/Sierra running around during the apocalypse. Guns and angsty love! OH YES!

I need another V/S icon....One is not enough to express my love.

I am kinda pumped for Dollhouse this season. It got so good in the second half last year.

AND WOOT FOR SIERRA/VICTOR! WOOOOOOOOT!!

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2009-09-18 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it really did drastically improve, and I hope it uses that momentum to head toward continued awesome!

ISN'T IT EXCITING! *LOVES THOSE TWO*

Dude, I'm totally shipping that.

I actually found her reasonably interesting in S1. Though I know some aren't impressed with Eliza Dushku.

I'm suspicious of anyone who isn't shipping that! ;)

I liked her so much more in theory than in execution. And yeah, part of that was Eliza, who I think was fabulous as Faith and in a few of the roles last season, but who doesn't have the greatest range, in my opinion.

Also, I felt like I kept getting hit over the head with the whole "Echo is special" bit...without ever being told what makes her special. I was just supposed to take their word for it. On top of that, she just didn't sell of her characters for me in the same way that, say, Enver did.

And as much as I liked the last few episodes and Alpha, I thought it was pretty lame that Alpha's whole motivation for everything was, "Let Echo be best." Blech.

But I think as she becomes more self-aware this season, I'll be much more interested. I'm very much looking forward to it.

True, Enver does tend to kick everybody's asses ;)

But I think as she becomes more self-aware this season, I'll be much more interested.

Ditto. Though what I'm hoping is that they'll flesh out Sierra more. I still feel like she's pretty opaque to me *shrug* Then again, that's probably to be expected on this show.

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Enver's definitely my favorite discovery of the show. He consistently blows me away.

I definitely agree about Sierra. My biggest complaint about the show thus far is that she's always presented as a sexual victim. Like, even in the well-written stuff! "Need" was a fantastic episode...except that apparently what Sierra needed was for some guy to punch out a guy who'd victimized her. However, I found her brief characterization in "Epitaph One" really, really compelling, and I hope we see more of that.

OH MY GOD! Do I smell Scoobiness in the television air?! *SQUEALS*

Victor/Sierra are epic. They just are. Since the begining. They're just ... almost childlike innocence with lots and lots of sexiness. It's a bit shameful really.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
YES YOU DO! SCOOBIES 2.0, YO.

They're just ... almost childlike innocence with lots and lots of sexiness. Definitely!

[identity profile] serendipily.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
I love the Scoobies. Though it'll break my heart if something like Sierra died and Echo coming back from the dead. Oh sure the dimension was there but it still made me cry.

Does that make me some sort of pervert?

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:22 am (UTC)(link)
You were always a pervert!

[identity profile] serendipily.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
*hangs head*

Alas it's true. My love for these two incrediably sexy people with their aesome kick-assness and then at the same time their childlike qualities when not out and about is just a shameful pervy thing.

...

Hey ....

THIS MAKES YOU A PERVERT TOO!

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:27 am (UTC)(link)
We're like Xander and Anya! "Pervert." "Other pervert."

[identity profile] serendipily.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
I call being Anya!

No ... Xander.

No ... I-I ...

They're both mine. Nuff said.

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:38 am (UTC)(link)
Fine. I'll be Buffy and Spike!

[identity profile] serendipily.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:53 am (UTC)(link)
Okay fine, you can have your "main" protagonistic couple, but I get the awesomeness that is Xander and Anya that ended too soon and was beautiful!

I get Willow and Tara!

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, that's cool with me--so long as I get Buffy and Spike, you can take everybody on the whole damn show. Except maybe Cordy. I love me some Cordy.

[identity profile] serendipily.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I wish you would have told me that eight horus ago, because no wshe's mine. Mine. Mine. Mine.

And I get the Spike/Harmony briefness. It's ridiculous that I could laugh so much.
