Summary: When I was thirteen, I almost made a friend.
This fic has gotten less feedback than any other I've ever written for Yuletide, and yet it's one I'm happiest with. And my recipient seemed to love it, so I'm happy. In past years, I would have been really frustrated by the lack of readers, but I'm just delighted that my recipient enjoyed it so much.
