IT MADE ME SO ANGRY. SO VERY VERY ANGRY.
Honestly, I think it would have been
more
emotionally affecting if she'd tried to reach the surface but didn't make it. But I guess that would have undone the parallels with her parents? I don't know, the whole scene was a giant mess.
