because what else am i going to do while at work?

A random comment by [livejournal.com profile] mollivanders gave me an idea for a meme:

Give me a text (book, TV show, movie, etc.) and I will tell you what I would have done differently if I had written it. Not little details, necessarily, but big plot or theme or characterization choices.

Well, the major one on T7S show is having Hyde and Jackie end back up together. I mean, first off, the married-to-a-stripper thing didn't even make any SENSE, but second, Jackie ending up with Fez made even LESS sense. I could see ending it where she's not with anyone, but FEZ? NO. I'm talking about from a pure characterization perspective, not even as a shipper, I hated what that said about Jackie. So anger-inducing.

I also would have kept Eric on, or at least not introduced Randy, but I guess that was out of the writers' hands.

As for SPN, uuuugh, I would kill off more men and less ladies and make the lady-killing filmed less sexually? I would have brought Jo and Ellen and Ash and the Roadhouse on as a constant element. I wouldn't have necessarily had Jo get romantically involved with either of the boys, but I think having a spunky little sister figure could have been fantastic. And having Ellen and Bobby BOTH looking out for the boys would have created an extra bit of security for them. The boys could make stops at the Roadhouse between jobs and we could have had a sort of home-base for them. I like the roadtrip elements of the first season, but I feel like once the show started to create an actual mytharc, they no longer needed to have just two (and then later three with Cas) constant characters.

I also would not have killed Bela off for no good reason. NO GOOD REASON.
