For some reason, the long-distance stuff just makes me want to sob my eyes out. And when it's fandom long-distance stuff, I am just an emotional mess.

It's validating,isn't it? The idea that we fans aren't just parasites mooching off other peoples' intellectual property, but capable of creating exquisite works of art.

That and everyone recording in their living rooms in everyday clothes. The sublime coming out of the apparently mundane.
