oh yeah. it's a monday
+ So I overslept, which meant I ran out the door, which meant that I didn't take my pills, which means that I will probably be feeling like I want to die at about 1:00 when my brain chemistry starts FREAKING OUT. Oh, anti-depressants. The things you do to me.
+ Anyway! I have a question for y'all who are X-Files-y inclined.
So I'm two episodes into the 7th season (I will finish this show one day, I swear). And...I'm confused. Because S6 ended with Mulder being driven out of his mind by the device, whatever it was, and Scully standing on top of a spaceship or whatever. It was a pretty awesome finale. Except that right now it seems like NONE OF THAT HAPPENED. Seriously? This is all I'm going to get? Am I supposed to just assume that Mulder got better? And they're not even going to reference it? I'm supposed to forget that it happened? IS THIS A SITCOM?
I can handle the no explanation about the spaceship--this show drops and picks up the mytharc threads all the freakin' time, so I'm used to that. BUT MULDER WAS IN AN INSTITUTION. SCREAMING HIS LUNGS OUT. I DEMAND AN EXPLANATION FOR THIS SHIT.
I...just...am not sure what to do?
+ And another question: if I want to change the text on my journal so that all of it (in the entries/comments) is in a darker font so that I can read it a little better (I love the color scheme, but it does require some eye-straining), what code do I need to look for in the CSS? I've changed a few colors, I thought, but nothing seems to have changed, so I must be changing the wrong thing, I guess? Any thoughts?

snickfic's latest fic revived all of my Jo Harvelle feelings and now I want ALL the fic where Jo's interacting with Dean (shippy or non, I don't even care). Any recs, y'all?
+ I miss Leverage already.
+ And a quick poll:

And I seem to think that either she dug up another one or it's this one that's still being studied because I think there was something about that in the William arc later.
(Boy, it's shocking to me how my memory has faded.)
Back in the day X-Files pattern was that it would have a mytharc episode basically during sweeps and then between sweeps it would mostly be MOTW. (Which probably makes it more strange in DVD viewing, but had a certain rhythem to it at the time).

Eh. Oh, well. Totally forgetting that he was even in that institution is an egregious violation of sense-making, but I can't say I wasn't warned.

The Sixth Extinction
Amor Fati
Hungry
Millenium
This episode guide gives Hungry and The Goldberg Variation as being the first two episodes produced for the season, but I'm pretty certain they aired in the order that is on the DVDs, because otherwise the plot makes even less sense than The X-Files normally does.

(User Info -> Journal -> Journal Style -> Customize your theme (top right) -> Style)
You can choose colours on all fonts etc with a nifty pop up colour chart. :)

I feel I have read very little Jo fic. Here's basically everything I have in my "previously read" list:
Sorority - BtVS/SPN, st_salieri so of course it's wonderful, heartbreaking
In the Quiet of the Night - uh, have some sweet low-key Jo/Castiel?
this is how you set a table for tea - Jo/Henriksen. You know, that FBI agent who was after the boys in S2. No, really.
Coming Clean - Jo/Dean. Uh, kinda porny? But in a sweet, well-characterized sort of way. According to my notes, author has written more Jo/Dean, too.
And that's all I've got.

I really could be wrong, though. I got to a point with X-Files where I would instantly forget mytharc episodes because I just didn't have any more room in my brain. The standalone episodes, I remember clearly and fondly, but ask me about the overarching plot and I have no idea.

I do not blame you at all. It's hella confusing.

Oh man, I can't even remember much of the mytharc after the first movie! I actually really love seasons six and seven, but that's because I love the standalone episodes, especially the ones with a more comedic slant ("Je Souhaite" at the end of S7 is one of my favourite episodes ever). I think by the time those seasons came around I was only in it for the MoTW and the shipping.

Put It All In Bags, Just Call It Charity: AU-ish fic where Jo encounters Adam (aka John Winchester's third son from S4)in jail after a hunt gone awry. Awesome unexpected friendship and fabulous Harvelle women banter.
