And now for the meme:

Looking back did you write more, less or just about the amount predicted? Care to explain?

I wrote a ton more than I actually posted.  Lots and lots and lots of pages of Buffyverse fic.  Nothing that's completed yet.  But on the whole, probably more.

What pairing, genre or fandom did you write this year that you never thought you would?

Well, I can quite honestly say that I never expected to write Anya/Doyle.  But that's the way the challenge worked out, and I'm quite proud of it.

What's your favorite story of the year? Not the most popular but the one that makes you happiest?

That is so incredibly hard.  I am so proud of myself for finishing "Broken Boy Soldiers" and "Little White Ones" since the ideas for both of them had been in my head for frikkin' ever.  But the one that makes me shiny-happiest is probably "Kaleidoscope."  My first real Buffyverse fic, and I like to think that I nailed all of the voices--and there were so many!  I never thought I'd be able to write from Faith's perspective, but I'm ridiculously proud that I did.

Did you take any writing risks this year?

Trying to break into the Buffyverse fandom, especially into as tight-knit of a community as the Spuffy one was daunting.  But everyone's been so lovely to me, and I like to think that I'm making my way there.

Do you have any specific goals for next year?

I will I will I will finally post a completed multi-chapter Buffyverse fic.  It will happen.  I...just don't know which one yet..

From the past year of writing:

What was your best story?

From a technical perspective "The Fury of Jewels and Coal."  Lyla, River, and Cordelia are all about as different as you can get, and sliding Dean Winchester (and, by extension, Sam) into their lives was a challenge, but I will love Izi forever and forever for giving me this challenge.  It was awesome.

Story most underappreciated?

"More Than One Day."  I really liked it.  I don't think anyone else did.  Maybe my extreme love of Cordelia blinded me to its not-goodness?

Story most appreciated?

Definitely "Kaleidoscope."  My first Buffyverse story and everybody loved it!  I won awards!  They were pretty!

Most fun?

"Kaleidoscope."

Most disappointing?

I'd had the idea for "Broken Boy Soldiers" in my head for so long that there's no way it ever could have lived up to my expectations for it.

Most sexy?

"Passport Smiles."  Buffy and Spike may have invented sex, but Blair and Chuck are bringing it back.

Story with the single sexiest moment?

Blair and Chuck having sex in the bathroom in the airport in Japan in "Passport Smiles."  Y'all, I become so risque this year!  Before, if I had a rating above PG it was because of either language or violence.  Now all of a sudden I'm having these two bump into each other randomly, not say a word to each other, screw each other silly in a bathroom, and then go on their merry way.  I mean, I'm never going to write explicit sex scenes (for a great number of reasons), but I like to think that one was pretty hot without going into a great amount of detail.

Most angsty?

Y'all, everything I write is angst.  I adore angst.  I drink it straight from the tap, completely undiluted.  Probably "Scarlet and Midnight" because I killed off the whole frikkin' world except for Buffy and Spike.  Or "Requiem" because it's all about definitions of heartbreak.

Most fluffy?

"The Silent Stars Go By."  Fluffy with a little bit of angst to keep things interesting.  It was total wish-fulfillment for Buffy and Spike.  Though "Back Porch"  could probably fall into this category, too.

What's up for next year?

New fandoms!  Hopefully!  Knowing me, most definitley.  A Buffyverse saga!  Probably tons more Spuffy because Spike just won't shut the hell up--the boy has taken over my brain.  More crossovers, because I am me.  Hopefully, enjoyment for all.

That was kinda fun.

Also, notice the new icon.  Buffy/Spike/rocket launcher is my OT3, y'all.  SEXY!

Kaleidoscope is my favourite thing forever and ever and then some. And I have some catching up to do in terms of your Spuffy fic! Which I will get to super super soon.

And heh, Blair and Chuck corrupt everybooody. And heh, they are so bringing the sex back onto the small screen.

And I loved Fury too, but alas, I think it was Izi who thought up that brilliant prompt. Though I still adored that so much. AND I still have to give you real feedback for your first foray into Gossip Girl fic. Will do, however late it is now.

Also, I need a Buffy/Spike icon. Your love of them requires it.

Ha! Your love of "Kaleidoscope" made me love it even more. And yeah, I tend to be a lot with the Spuffy lately, mostly because that's what I'm reading a lot of.

Blair and Chuck corrupt everybooody. And heh, they are so bringing the sex back onto the small screen. I know, right? You can't write them without it being just a little dirty. That's one of the things I love about them. It's so unabashedly sexual.

Aha! You're right. I'll change it. You were the one who gave me the "Requiem" prompt at the same time, and that was an awesome prompt, though I admit to being totally overwhelmed the first time I saw it. But I ended up loving writing it and being pretty satisfied with it overall, so you get an "I love you forever" for that one.

Also, I need a Buffy/Spike icon. Your love of them requires it. Hee! They're just so pretty. I could never get enough icons of them. But that makes me happy and also kind of sheepish that my love of them would require it.
