Target Women: Vampires

I don't think I've discussed this here, but I have a rather large girl crush on Sarah Haskins, the host of this segment of infoMania called "Target Women." The entire premise of this segment is to make us realize the many ridiculous and sometimes even offensive ways that certain specific things (birth control, yogurt, chick flicks, cleaning supplies, Disney princesses) are marketed towards women. She is hilarious and dry and snarky and smart, and I love her clips.

They're always brilliant and hilarious, but this one I couldn't help but share.

Because it's about Twilight! And there's a shout-out to Chuck Bass! Watch and enjoy!

Yeah, I can imagine that when you knew it was coming, you knew exactly when it would show up. Oh, Chuck Bass. The rest of the female population of the free world can be flipping out over Edward Cullen, and I'll just flip out over you.

Aren't they though? I pretty much adore her.

That is the most fabulous thing ever.

The thing is, the more you think about Twilgiht, the more you realise the fail. Unfortunately, most of the people I've met in RL have yet to realise the fail.

Yeah, I hope that the rest of womankind will figure it out quickly and move on to someone more worthy of being obsessive over. I mean, the whole Jane Austen hero-love thing can be a bit annoying, but at least it's understandable. Like, I prefer Mr. Knightley, but I can understand why people love Mr. Darcy. Everyone should go back to that now.
