you know it's true...
Y'all, make my whole entire day and give me a character from one of my fandoms (a character you know I actually like, please), and I'll give you some items from my personal canon. Because that is the funnest game ever (and yes, you can do repeats from previous personal canon posts. Any character I like).
For
ineffort : Dean Winchester
1. He was in love with the girl he lost his virginity to. He was fifteen (awkward and definitely not a ladies' man), she two years older, and all he remembers is the way she smelled and that nothing will ever feel that good ever again.
2. He always knew that one day he would die for Sammy.
3. He knew that his dad knew it, too, and approved, and Dean will never admit that he'll never forgive Dad for that.
4. His favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz. All the evil easily defeated, and then you get to go back home to Kansas.
5. The reason that thing with Jo never went anywhere? He was well aware that she was too good for him.
For
madcap_shiny : Chuck Bass
1. He knows that the reason he doesn't care about anyone is that the two people he actually does care about--his dad and Nate--will never, ever care about him half as much.
2. He could be a better business man than even his dad, but what's the point?
3. Eric might be his favorite person on earth (besides Blair).
4. He'd known for years that Blair was the only woman he could ever respect, but until she got up on the stage at Victrola, he always thought she was out of his league.
5. When he was younger, he'd talk to his mother every night before he went to bed the way other kids say their prayers (he still does, only in his mind now).
For
moonlightrick : Cindy "Mac" Mackenzie
1. She's just a little bit jealous of Wallace--he'll always hold the title of "Veronica's best friend"--and of Veronica--she wishes she had someone as loyal to her as Wallace is to Veronica.
2. After she found out about the baby swap, she went back to the Sinclair house and made friends with (her real little sister) Lauren on the sly.
3. She hates herself for still loving Cassidy.
4. She wants Dick to get his act together because if he can, then surely she can, too.
5. Yeah, finding out that she's not who she thought she was, realizing that her first loved killed dozens of people and raped her best friend, being left alone in that hotel room--that all messed her up. But she knows that she's going to be fine. She's stronger than all that.
For
that_september : Bobby Singer
1. He loved John like a brother, but sometimes when he looks at the boys and sees how screwed up they are, he hates John.
2. He believes in good for this reason only--he may have failed his wife (and that fact may still keep him up at night, still haunt his nightmares), but she loved him, and she was as perfect as any person ever could be.
3. Growing up, he wanted to be a teacher.
4. His family had money. Lots of it. He never cared.
5. He prays for the boys every night.
For
hide_r : Spike - William Pratt
1. He thinks Angel's a total git for wiping Connor's mind like that, manipulating reality--magic always has consequences--but he's also jealous. Angel would never have done that for him.
2. Even though he's gone so far beyond the place where he'd be able to relate to her anymore, he still misses Drusilla.
3. His biggest regret about that last year in Sunnydale is that he never made things right with Dawn.
4. By the time his mother started coughing, he'd already watched his father and little sister die of consumption. He knew he wouldn't be far behind.
5. He's glad he never drank from Buffy and she never offered. It means she actually sees him as a man. And that's all he ever really wanted from her (the I love you was just a bonus).
For
ava_leigh_fitz : River Tam
1* She has dreams of other girls, her age or younger, fighting monsters far more terrifying than Reavers. To anyone else, they would be nightmares, but she likes to know she isn't alone.
2. The one thing she's never doubted is that Simon would come for her.
3. She loves Kaylee, but sometimes she gets annoyed when the mechanic talks down to her. People forget that she's a genius (also a bit of a brat. But proud of it).
4. She's glad the Blue Hands cut her open. Because she would never leave Serenity to go back home again even if she had the chance.
5. Sometimes at night she goes and sits in the pilot's chair and talks to Wash. He talks back (but she would never tell Zoe. It would hurt her too much).
*This is born of my absolute conviction that River is a Slayer in the future. You know she has Slayer dreams.

And yes, yes, yes--come back with more characters! I loooooooooove it, too!
Reply is in the entry now! I hope you enjoy!

Annnnnnnnnd, some Eleanor Waldorf if possible? I kind of adore her. And AND Rose Tyler since you're watchng Who now!
no subject
Oooooh! Intriguing! Eleanor. I will think about this and get back to you (I like to write these things when I should really be paying attention in class. It's one of my favorite things to do). And I could probably come up with a few for Rose. Though you'll have to tell me if they contradict future canon. Cuz that would be bad.
Thanks for giving me something to do during class tomorrow!

But let's start with fabulous ol' Chuck Bass.
no subject
Excellent choice. CHUCK FTW. I've posted the five items in the entry. Hope you like 'em. ;)
no subject
And I love the River and Spike ones, so now I'm in a Jossverse mood. Mal, anyone?
no subject
I will get right to it. Mal FTW!

How about.....BOBBY.
no subject
I've posted the reply in the entry. I think you'll like 'em.
no subject
Um...I'll start with Mac (VM) :D
no subject
This was a bit of a challenge for me (in the best way) because I haven't actually seen all of Season 3. *winces* But I think you'll like them--they're in the entry itself.

Because I haven't read Firefly fic in forever and yours is the best. Also, HI YOU.

Do you know how excited I always am to talk about you? I just thought you should know.
Anyways, you're too sweet. River is way too much fun, and I hope I did her justice for you. My replies are in the actual post.

I loved all of these, especially Dean because you see Dean exactly as I do and he breaks my heart every time (the Wizard of Oz thing is genius by the way, seriously. That blew my mind with how right that was for him.) And Mac! Which is incredible seeing has how you haven't finished S3. Mac is my favourite on that show, seriously.
But River. Of course you did her justice! Oh man, first of all she is clearly a Slayer of the future. There is no way that isn't right. But my god, you always get her just right and yes! Kaylee talks down to her and she really shouldn't and she always had faith in Simon and she's glad for all that was done to her and SHE TALKS TO WASH. Seriously. This is just so so so perfect.

Your canon is my canon. You ever doubted it? And I'm sure it works the other way 'round, too.
Oh, Dean. I need badly badly to catch up on that show so that I can love him some more. And I have no clue where the Wizard of Oz thing came from. It was a stroke of genius, I must admit, but not one I can lay claim to. I thought, "I should figure out what Dean's favorite movie is" and that leapt instantly to mind. It was weird, but I enjoyed it.
I love me some Mac, but I don't know that I'd realized how much till I wrote that.
I don't like doing the self-pimping thing, but if you like the River-as-a-Slayer thing, you should read my choco_cherries flclet Puzzles, cuz that's the premise of that one. Also, because it's 300 words and will take you like six seconds and I think you'd enjoy it.
This is just so so so perfect. I am so glad you think so.

4. His favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz. All the evil easily defeated, and then you get to go back home to Kansas.
New personal canon, y/y? OMG, I love that. Love it!
2. After she found out about the baby swap, she went back to the Sinclair house and made friends with (her real little sister) Lauren on the sly.
I always thought so, too. :P
4. His family had money. Lots of it. He never cared.
Aww Bobby. *huggles him*

New personal canon, y/y? Yay! *dances* I'm pretty thrilled you feel that way. Because I really have no idea where that one came from. It was like a gift.
I always thought so, too. :P How could she not?
Bobby is very huggle-able.

I may have to marry your personal canon and have its babies.
... >.>
His favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz. All the evil easily defeated, and then you get to go back home to Kansas.
This is completely heartbreaking but oh-so perfect.
This is born of my absolute conviction that River is a Slayer in the future. You know she has Slayer dreams.
YES! *flails about fannishly* This was totally my theory too when I first watched Firefly!
If I start quoting any more of these I will get carried away and quote them all, because dammit, woman, it's like you know all these characters intimately.
no subject
Ha! Go right ahead! I'm sure my personal canon is on the lookout for a mature, committed relationship, so I give your marriage my approval. ;)
Seriously, I'm so glad you loved it. It's so much fun for me.
I have no idea where the Wizard of Oz thing came from, but I am kind of proud of it.
I know! How could anyone watch both Buffy and Firefly and not think that River is a Slayer? It's totally obvious.
If I start quoting any more of these I will get carried away and quote them all, because dammit, woman, it's like you know all these characters intimately. That is high praise indeed. Thanks. ;)
