a very important announcement

Listen, British people, I love you. You make great TV and pretty much invented the novel and I just think you're fantastic all around, except for the whole imperialism thing, which is mercifully mostly behind you. But do not go trying to tell me that Lay's and Walkers are the same. They aren't. They may be owned by the same company, but either the ingredients are different or the way they make them is different, because I am a Lay's connoisseur and let me tell you: they taste different. And Walkers are just not as good. Sorry, but it's true.

Signed,

someone who ate a whole whole lot of Walkers while she was studying in London and who lamented the fact that they weren't Lay's with every single bite

I'm afraid I like Walker's better... but only because they seem to come up with some really fun flavor combinations. Of course, in the US we're finally starting to catch on to that trend and mix up potato chip flavors a bit. But the best crisps I ever had were the Walker's Moroccan Lamb and Spices ones we got when we were on vacation in the UK.

See, I'm a classic girl myself. I think regular plain crispy potato chips cannot be improved upon. I will eat the BBQ flavor and I like them, but I don't need the fancy flavors. But if you're super into flavors, yeah, they definitely have way more crazy ones in Europe!
