Rick decides she needs to be another famous strong auburn-haired woman from history and convinces her to be Boudica and he'll be a Celtic warrior--he likes the war paint. Unfortunately the possession thing still happens because of course it does.

Rory thinks it's a fair deal.

Sunggyu wants to be Kim Jong-wan, but Dawn convinces him that no one else would know who that is and plus they should totally do couples costumes. Dawn wants to be some ancient Sumerian king and queen or something totally esoteric, but Sunggyu helpfully points out that no one would have any idea who they are in that getup either. Sunggyu really isn’t thrilled at the idea of doing anything at all if he can’t be his indie rocker god, but eventually he agrees to be Amy and Rory because A) he kind of doesn’t hate the show that Dawn makes him watch with her and Andrew and Spike and Sungyeol all the time and B) it’s normal enough clothes. Dawn looks great in the mini-skirt, but he misses her real hair color.
Roommate couple…Sungjong really wants to go all-out slasher movie gross because of how much he loves horror films, but Hoya convinces him that that will scare Dongwoo to death so they better not do it. Sungjong is pretty unimpressed that Howon wants them to be secret agents—“that’s boring and unoriginal, hyung”—but he has to admit that Hoya looks really, really good in his suit. (And Hoya gets to look at Sungjong’s s-line all night because the suit is cut just right, so he’s totally happy.)
Oh, God, it's actually really hard to come up with stuff for people from non-Western cultures because I don't know what would be familiar to them or what from their own cultures they'd dress up as? I'm kind of inclined to have Howon dress up all smart in a suit and have Myungsoo follow him around with his camera and have them be a movie star and a paparazzo, but maybe that's too simple?
RIDICULOUSNESS. Sunggyu loses a bet, so Woohyun is completely evil and makes him dress up as Hyuna ("No, really, hyung, your legs look great in that skirt!" Cue hysterical laughter. "Sungjong, give him lessons on how to flip his hair, he looks spastic.") and he dresses up as Psy in the blue glittery jacket. The entire point is to embarrass Sunggyu as much as possible, which totally happens when they run into the real Hyuna at a party.
I picture her coming across a postcard with a Pre-Raphaelite painting on it and falling swooningly in love with it. And she coaxes Marilla into sewing her a dress, and she lets her hair loose and makes a flower crown and makes sure she walks out the door right as the perfect golden light of sunset strikes her.
And gets Gilbert to fashion a suit of armor. And Diana dresses up, too, and Anne picks the flowers to make her flower crown because they have to be something that shows up against Diana's lovely raven hair.
Luna would totally be some creature that no one's ever heard before. With lots of eyes and tentacles. And it would be AWESOME.
Sarah - Pat Benetar or Debbie Harry Allison - Maybe Galinda from Wicked? I'm having trouble with her. I want her to be some sort of like perfect housewife character who's really steely and terrifying, but I can't think of someone who fits that perfectly. But I bet a few years back she was Betty Draper. And a few years before that she was a character from Desperate Housewives. Cosima - Ada Lovelace. With cleavage. Helena - AN ANGEL. Only her idea of what an angel looks like ends up being a little...terrifying. Or maybe she'd just dress up as Sarah and think it's totally awesome and doesn't get why Sarah isn't impressed. FELIX - The Emcee from Cabaret!
I LOVE THIS VERY MUCH. Howon did plan his costume, he was dressing up as James Bond. Myungsoo's mouth dropped to the floor like it does everytime Howon wears a suit and he started taking pictures of him and then Howon told him he could as well be a paparazzi for Halloween, since he had the camera and he already looks like a stalker. Myungsoo took this by heart and decided to go with him while Howon just shrugged--but deep inside he always loved the idea of having Myungsoo follow him around and ask him grown-up questions. Hopeless childs.

Once in seventh or eighth grade I slapped a bunch of blue makeup on my face and dressed in weird clothes and said I was "open to interpretation." I think that would be Luna's jam, too.

The company picks an outfit for him and it's something that makes him cringe like a cowboy (Myungsoo's ass in TIGHT JEANS!) or a superhero (have some Myungsoo as superman) and he's a grumpy little jerk all night because he hates it. Basically Halloween should be a chance to torture Lee Hyunsoo. It's a waste otherwise.
I want to see Yerim as someone badass in a catsuit. Like Black Widow or Catwoman or something. Just because it would be hot and Hyunsoo wouldn't be able to think of a single thing to say and he'd follow her around with his tongue out and she'd laugh at him and flip her hair in his face.
