Harry shows Ron Star Wars and Ron becomes obsessed, clearly, because he has fantastic taste. Fortunately for him, Hermione always admired Princess Leia, so she's quite fine with them going as Han and Leia for Halloween. "She wasn't just a princess--she was a senator, you know." Getting her hair into the braids is quite another thing.

Hmm...I have this desperate need to see Veronica in a private eye's gear and Logan in a slinky dress as the femme fatale. Would never happen BUT I WANT IT.
Evy absolutely refuses to be anything involving Egyptian history because she's half-convinced they'll be possessed by the spirits of whoever they're dressing up as. Rick decides she needs to be another famous strong auburn-haired woman from history and convinces her to be Boudica and he'll be a Celtic warrior--he likes the war paint. Unfortunately the possession thing still happens because of course it does.
Did you ever read that HP fic (written while the series was in progress) about Harry and Hermione showing Ron Star Wars? And Ron asks Harry if the hero always gets the girl and basically he and Harry talk about Ron and Hermione as Han and Leia. Because. Of course.
I really, really want Mummy fic now for that setup.
