lirazel: An outdoor scene from the film Picnic at Hanging Rock ([kpop] actual porn star kim myungsoo)

so today in kim myungsoo's campaign to kill me via sexual frustration...

someone put me out of my misery

to make things a zillion times worse:

About the 'Vogue Girl' shoot, L shared, "I wanted to show Kim Myung Soo's [L's real name] comfortable and friendly lifestyle as a young man." When asked what was his best purchase he made this year, L chose the laptop that he bought for Sungyeol, showing his affections for his members.

While sitting down with 'Nylon', L revealed his ambition to get better with his photography hobby, commenting, "When I get older and gain more experience, I want to try shooting INFINITE's album jacket or do the designing for the CD. If I have a chance, I also want to try shooting a pictorial for the other members as well."

dreaming of that day, we should discuss which concepts we want to see the other members in when myungsoo shoots them.

i'm thinking sungjong as a joseon-era prince with loooong hair and the world's greatest haughty expression.

howon in tank tops and jeans all covered with grease like he's some kind of mechanic. also suits. also skirts.

prince sungyeol in knitwear. lots of prince sungyeol in knitwear.

etc.

1) that line about the laptop was either (a) that psychological phenomenon where, the more you spent on something, the more you feel you have to justify it to yourself or (b) trolling, because I am convinced that Myungsoo basically treats this whole ship as an excuse to troll everyone (although he seems finally to have calmed down with the stripping his BFF on stage, thank God).

but all the yessssssssssssss to #2. Dongwoo surrounded by pillows.

Myungsoo can absolutely be a giant troll and I love it. I distinctly remember this one (written) interview where he was asked at the beginning not to reply in monosyllables. So he replied in monosyllables. And whenever he was presented with an opportunity for Woohyun-like inspirits-are-my-girlfriend fanservice, he completely went the other direction. It's so funny because I have no doubts Myungsoo really does adore Sungyeol and they really are as close as they seem...but most of the 'shippy' stuff is, yeah, totally intentional and mostly about the trolling.

Dongwoo surrounded by pillows.

OH YES. In something comfy and colorful while he grins and is surrounded by pillows. I can't imagine a more inviting picture.

I actually love the trolling and some of the other stuff he does because it shows he's not going to let himself lose his own self identity or personality... and how strong willed he can be. He can so often give the impression of... well as you all put it... pudding... being willing to just go with the flow, and I think it's more like... this is not something that's that important to me... but when stuff IS important then he will do a sort of subtle resistance. I don't think he likes being told what to do by someone like that interviewer or whatnot for example. Maybe the interviewer was rude and this was his way of resisting. It's interesting. Anyway... sorry for high jacking your comment.

He definitely does have a backbone underneath the fluffy, and I think you're right: he most just goes with things, but he'll put his foot down about things he cares about, but not in an obvious way. I see that sometimes in the times I've seen him get angry--there is steel underneath, it just takes the right circumstances for him to show it. I actually think that's a great quality in a person, being easy going and agreeable most of the time but also knowing when to make a stand. I'm also all for him being a troll as a way of asserting, "Hey, I'm a person, not just a plastic idol for people to swoon over." I get a thrill whenever idols stand up for themselves, whether it's Heechul mouthing off or Sojun talking about her eating disorder or Amber telling someone not to be rude or anyone at all suing SM (honestly, a way to get me to love you is to sue SM. I’m more of a Changmin and Yunho kind of person, but I respect the hell out JYJ for doing what they did, not to mention Hangeng for bailing completely and ALSO ERIC OF SHINHWA LEARNING LAW SO HE COULD DEFEND THEM IN COURT. Like, that’s the hottest, most badass thing ever).

Honestly, I think the thing I’m most interested about in kpop in general is watching how people find subtle or obvious ways of resisting the system. It doesn’t want them to be human, and all the ways they keep hold of their humanity just fascinate me. I probably wouldn’t be writing fic if it weren’t for that.

EXACTLY

this comment is not brought to you by trolls holding hands with intertwined fingers onstage, it is not, gross trolls are gross and I hope they are laughing at their own troll-la-la with their respective girlfriends
