They came from Ranya's brain. We don't even know if they've ever spoken to each other, but Ranya has this way of realizing that people are perfect for each other--Sungjong and Minha has fierce, badass (but kind when they want to be) maknaes who flip their hair perfectly and should run the world; Yeol and Ellin as ridiculous, loud, delightful, hilarious visuals who yell "Ya!" and get into mischief a lot. With Sungyeol and Ellin, what happened was I told Ranya I was making a series of graphics for my Infinite het ships and could she kindly come up with a lady I could bring myself to ship Yeol with? And she introduced me to Ellin and I thought she was perfect: she'd never let him treat her badly, she has tons of backbone, but she has just so much joy and humor that when she called him on his shit he probably wouldn't even mind.
