casting/graphic: before the dawn
When teasers like this exist, how can I not end up casting the members of my ridiculous boy band as spies? I mean, really. They were just asking for it.

BEFORE THE DAWN → a spy AU inspired by this teaser
Infinite is the last word in special-ops. Under the leadership of their boss, professional badass Shin Min Ah, they’ve handled every nearly-impossible operation the government has thrown at them. Now, though, they’re facing supervillains Uhm Tae Woong and Jung Ryeo Won, who are filthy rich, scary brilliant, and crazy in love, and the boys may be a little out of their depth.
Infinite may be the best at what they do, but Min Ah’s going to have her hands full trying to keep their heads in the game for this mission. Team leader Kim Sunggyu has been itching to take on more responsibility and plan the missions, but Min Ah knows he’s not ready, and they keep butting heads. Jang Dongwoo’s threatening to snap at any moment now that he’s found out that the enemy has kidnapped Jo Bo Ah, the girl he left behind, and is using her for leverage—but the Big Bads are going to find that they’ve bit off more than they can chew with this girl. Nam Woohyun keeps having mysterious (and hot) encounters with Yoon Eun Hye, an enigmatic and deadly assassin whose loyalties remain unclear, and she’s proving a big distraction. Lee Hoya’s the street-rough new recruit, training under the direction of Min Ah’s assistant Sung Joon; he’s struggling to figure out where he fits into the group and to deal with his burgeoning feelings for Dongwoo (and completely failing to notice how into him Sung Joon is). Lee Sungyeol is reeling from their latest mission, questioning his own abilities and his commitment to the job after a bad call ended in tragedy—and the nightmares sure as hell aren’t helping anything. Kim Myungsoo has teamed up with fellow spy Kim Ye Rim to go undercover as lovers, which would be a breeze if it weren’t for the fact that they hate each other (Myunsoo is positive that Min Ah is punishing him). And Lee Sungjong’s having more and more trouble juggling his spy work with his day job as a rockstar—and his life’s about to get a lot more complicated now that his sassy idol girlfriend Jung So Min is starting to suspect that he’s keeping secrets from her.
They may be closer than brothers and, sure, they’ve always come through for each other in the past, but the group has never been so fractured as it is right now. It’s a tossup at any given moment whether the boys are a competent team or a time-bomb waiting to go off.
Spoiler alert: Sungyeol ends up saving the day. Because of course he does.
