i'm booooooooooooored. have a poll!
so i am less than one day behind on nano! which means i'm at about 15,000 words, which is good. on the bad side of things, i am convinced that this story is crap and everyone will hate it. but since i feel that way about everything original i write, i will (wo)manfully carry on. just thought a few of you might be interested. now! for the poll!

I miss Miranda!
2 people on my flist who have seen Once Upon A Time? Yay! I have been meaning to do a "this show is great and has the potential to be even better and you should all watch it" post.
Totally didn't know those lyrics were from Arthur, so I picked The Magic School Bus...but really, my answer is Arthur!

I only get about one real cold a year, so the allergies, which last from March through November for me, are the worst. But it all sucks, doesn't it?
MIRANDA! I KNEW I forgot something!

The musical episode! "Jekyll Jekyll Hyde Jekyll Hyde Hyde Jekyll! Jekyll Jekyll Hyde Jekyll Hyde!!!!!!!!" Best episode of that show. I love it so much!

(No tickbox for "the adoption storyline makes me feel ooky but I'm hanging in for THE LADIES?")

(Ugh. I try to ignore that storyline as much as possible. I totally understand about the ookiness. Gross.)

Also, ONCE UPON A TIME IS AWESOME. I love Snow White right now. I don't find it horribly cheesy, just fun stuff (but then I am in the Tin Man fandom. CHEESE PLEASE...)
Also Ringer - yes, it's so cheesy it's almost embarassing, but it does keep getting better. I love all the soapy twists of it.

2) I aaaaalmost voted for Jess/Rory, but then I realized that I genuinely, legit believe that Jess/Rory was endgame (just! In a sneaky way! There's no way they're not together now, okay!), whereas Jackie/Hyde got so horribly & inexplicably thwarted that it just plain needed my support. WHY, SHOW.
no subject
2) I approve of your way of thinking. Rory and Jess is the only thing that makes sense. I get SO ANGRY when I think of what the show did to Jackie and Hyde. SO ANGRY.

+Damon is the best one! NO SURPRISES THERE. ummmm, speaking of, I had a dream last night that Elijah was coming after me. IT WAS REALLY SCARY OKAY.

+ No surprises indeed! But OMG that could be scary!

I've been selectively watching the Snow White/Prince Charming show and skipping everything else. I think I'mgiving up on it though, because I started watching Revenge and that's so much better and I watch too much tv.
LOVE YOUR POLLS
no subject
It's kind of painful to watch, isn't it? Especially the dialogue, which may actually be the worst dialogue I've ever heard. But I hear that Revenge is good in a first-season-of-Gossip-Girl guilty pleasure kind of way. No doubt I'll get into it eventually.
THANK YOU! I AM PLEASED!

ALSO JESS/RORY <333 But I chose Jackie/Hyde because really, there was no reason ever not to.

Seriously. SERIOUSLY.

I can't tell if you are younger or older than I am, but those are not the PBS shows I watched. 3-2-1 Contact for the win.
no subject
I imagine I'm a bit younger than you, because I have heard about 3-2-1 Contact but have never seen it. Or at least don't remember seeing it.
no subject
Also, no Sesame Street? What, is it opposite day? Sesame Street of olde, I mean. Not this new fangled Sesame Street. Actually, maybe you grew up on the new fangled Sesame Street--you are a bit younger than me--if so, I am very sorry for your loss. And I will offer you this, the greatest song ever created for children's programming. Straight, simple, to the point, and rockin'.
no subject
I decided to leave off Sesame Street and Mister Rogers because I felt like those two were ubiquitous. EVERYONE watched them. But yes, I had old school SS--sometimes the songs will randomly burst into my head. And I still have the little segment they did on how orange crayons are made saved to my youtube favorites. BEST.

Vampire Diaries: Elijah, baby, all the way.
Should you catch up on Ringer: no. but you should also do things that aren't good for you once in a while. :)
no subject
I am SHOCKED that you picked Elijah. SHOCKED, I SAY.
but you should also do things that aren't good for you once in a while. :)
Ha! I like your way of thinking!

My mom says that used to be my favorite show when I was little!!
I was on the fence about a bunch of these questions! I actually really hate the winter, but you managed to pick the very few things I actually do like LOL. I picked holidays because the most important one, my birthday! is in the winter :) But I also love hot chocolate and coats and scarves!
I think the show I'm actually missing the most is Shameless. Maybe that's because it's so close to returning (or because it's so awesome!), but I'm also missing GoT. I'm liking both OUaT & Ringer, but I'm really not picky about my TV shows. I watch just about everything :)
The vampire question was SO NOT FAIR! I picked Damon, but it's such a close call between him, Caroline, and Katherine!!

I hate winter, too! I was trying to be optimistic, though.
OMG SHAMELESS! I knew I forgot something! I can't wait till those kids are back on my screen! Though I haven't missed Frank at all. I wish he would go away and never come back.

AND IS A CLEAN FREAK
V. important detail, but I picked Kat.
no subject
MOST IMPORTANT DETAIL. I would watch a show about Damon cleaning house and grousing about how everyone else is so messy and careless. But I definitely support your picking Katherine. Flawless. Flawless.

I am so excited!!!
And, obviously, the first thing I thought when I got to the casting section of the article was, "I wonder who PennyLane would put
it inin it?" :DSo the next time you get bored..

And likewise, I believe Ainsley and Sam have that similar sort of magnetism, but I also believe Sam loves and respects her too much to not immediately find a way to hire her indirectly so she doesn't know it was him, but in a way that he still finds a way to be around her tons once he becomes the govenator. And then they have a glory filled good time spilling coffee ALL OVER their state buildings. And then they get married and argue over whether or not her choice to get pregnant makes the Equal Rights Ammendment useless or whether it should be passed.
So yes, they weren't Endgame, persay, but they were close enough with the wiggle room for me. And the whole Jackie and Fez thing was the WORST THING EVER and I still would like to live in a world where Season 8 Redo was canon.
Also how am I supposed to choose between cute scarves and yummy hot chocolate and the thrill of perfectly wrapping presents? AND ARTHUR AND THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS? GAH!

SPILLING COFFEE AND THE ERA!
*dies*
Okay, Season 8 Redo is actually the greatest thing in the world, and if she ever came back and finished it officially I would probably die of happiness, but even as it is, it is perfect. OMG THAT FIC. I remember initially not wanting to read it because it was script format, but she is so good that I don't even care that it's script format, it is perfect.
I am an evil, evil woman. When I can't decide between things, I like to make y'all do it instead!
