Picspam: Disney Ladies Casting

So a couple of weeks ago, Sadie and I were having a typically silly conversation about who has an excellent enough face to play Rapunzel in a live-action version of Tangled. And, being Sadie (aka: ridiculously ridiculous and evil), she challenged me to cast ALL the Disney ladies. "I don't even care about Disney that much!" I shouted. But the casting director in me got the better of me, and now here I am with the most random picspam ever.

This was fun but also challenging (especially finding someone who was actually Roma for Esmeralda, since I had dedicated myself to getting ethnicities right as well. Oh, also getting the right ages was hard at times as well, but this is fantasy anyways, so it's not like it matters). So...here we go.

And, as a special bonus, a not-Disney casting for my favorite animated lady:

*Before I get any slamming of Emmy Rossum, I need to say this: she absolutely can act. Just watch her in Shameless if you don't agree. Girl is awesome.

I'm not sure about Emma Watson (she's way too fierce but maybe she could pull it off), but Tiana, Pocahontas, Tinkerbell and especially Aurora are perfect!

Great job, galpal <3

Man, practically everybody I actually like it too fierce for Cinderella. *sigh* Cinderella's pretty much the opposite of fierce, actually.

It's honestly scary to me how much Dianna Agron looks like Aurora.

Thanks! <3

I actually rewatched the movie yesterday :)) She's really the opposite of fierce, but the one thing I liked was that she didn't seem to take the shit from her family to her heart, she stayed cool and ALMOST snarky. Old school Disney ladies are not really the most interesting characters, but since I'm not a misogonist who needs her women to have physichal strenght, special skills or a sassy attitude to approve (a personality comes good though), I'm gonna say I respect their emotional strenght.

Dianna as Aurora just HAS to happen :))

Btw, I have an uncle who often calls me Snow White. I think I look much more like a female version of Severus Snape :D

I agree with you--she's a sweetheart, but it's hard to find someone who can play that role without being soppy, you know?

Awww! I'm sure your uncle's right. :D

Actually, Emma Watson seems more and more right after reading this comment :) I could see her being sweet and still make gpoys at her stepsisters when they're not watching :DD

Here're two recent photos of me, not of very good quality but I think I look kinda Snapeish on them :D

I think she'd make a fun twist on the character. I like a Cinderella with a bit of spunk but without being HBIC-ish, you know?

Well, from what I can tell, maybe you do look Snape-ish--if Snape was adorable. Which he isn't. But you are. So. :D

I know what you mean, she totally would! :)

Haha, I don't really mind. I love Snape though yeah, adoreable is so not the word I'd use to describe him :D He's just..weird to resemble :)))
