Several requests for help

1. For the past year or so, I've been toying with the idea of watching Gen 2 of Skins. I thought Effy was really interesting (though her relationship with Tony was by far the best thing about her), but I've heard that Gen 2 was basically a hot mess. So--your thoughts. Worth it or no? Also, do we know anything about Gen 3?

2. I've started working (again) on my gender-swap cast of Veronica Mars. Some of the casting was quite easy (Veronica, Wallace, Kendall), but there are a few people I'm having trouble with.

Cassidy

Mac

Jackie

Vinnie

Hannah

Trina

The last three are not at all necessary, but I want to include them if I find someone fun. I'm also wanting to stick close to their real ages, so no 26-year-olds if possible, kay? And I'm sticking with the first two seasons, because I don't actually watch the third season.

For the Echollses, I just considered swapping--letting Harry Hamlin play Lynn's character and Lisa Rinna play Aaron's, because half the fun of them in those roles is that they're married in real life. But now I am unsure.

I am also torn on my Logan choice. Half the time I think she's glorious, the other half, I think I need to find something new. It's hard to find talented youngish people! Same with Leo and Meg.

Feel free to make any suggestions about any character, but I am quite content with a lot of my choices.

3. Who would want to help me make a pretty picspam for this (silly) project? Because I don't own photoshop or anything like that, and I don't know how y'all do the pretty stuff. It is beyond me, and I am in awe of your powers.

4. Firefox has decided it hates me. It keeps freezing for a few seconds, then unfreezing for a minute or two, then freezing again. It makes it very hard to do anything, especially download things. Anyone got any advice?

And now I need to go find something to eat and then beta some stuff for people.

I'm not gonna lie--mostly I'm not telling people because if I don't, I'll create suspense, and then I'll make myself actually finish it because I have a responsibilty to satisfy peoples' curiosity! ;D

MIDNIGHT! If I possibly can (and I may well be able to) I will be there then, too! If not, FIRST THING AFTER WORK. Being an adult with actual responsibilities stinks. But we'll see--I might be able to do it.

I love the idea of you dressed like Hermione!

I have to admit there's one thing I'm worried about. I adore Rupert Grint--he's the world's biggest cutie-pie!--but I'm worried about whether he'll be able to do the emotional heavy-lifting the role's going to require this time around. Like, the scene where he destroys the locket. EASILY one of my faves of the series. And I'm gonna be heartbroken if it doesn't measure up to my expectations. I'm very much hoping he'll surprise me and be excellent.

That's a great plan! I know I'm excited! :)

Haha, I hope you don't have to work! Screw responsibilities.

I'm such a nerd. I'm trying to put together a Hermione costume for Halloween, specifically because I wanted to be her for the premiere. I can't wait.

I totally know what you mean about Rupert being able to pull off the horcrux scene, but I think he can handle it. I remember him in Driving Lessons, and he had some emotional stuff there, too. He really did a good job, though the locket scene is a little more intense. The Silver Doe is like my favorite chapter in DH, except for the one about Snape's memories, which I also hope they do justice.

Oh, that's great! How convenient--the premier and Halloween! I love it!

It's definitely my favorite chapter as well. I feel like something's wrong with me--I have zero investment in Snape. But everyone I know loves him. What is my deal?
