I'm in a polly kind of mood!

I have come to two conclusions:

1. Shipper Wars are stupid.
2. I miss

choco_cherries and crossovers in general (the rest of this conversation will make more sense if you familiarize yourself with the comm. WHICH IS THE GREATEST COMM EVER).

These two conclusions have met each other and exploded into an idea of awesome: forget about pairing The Greatest Person in the Universe (aka Buffy Summers) with only people on her own show! Crossovers are better!

So I've decided that for the duration of silliness, whenever the Shipping Wars threaten to pop up, I will immediately wax poetical about my favorite Buffy ship. The catch: it's with someone who isn't even in the Buffyverse! People will become confused! And distracted! Scott Allie might make fun of me in a Q&A! Poor "Spray" fan! It'll be awesome!

But the question is: Who will be the other half of that ship? That's what this poll will help me determine!

I've already written Buffy/Tommy and you may have noticed me flailing with joy over John Crichton mentioning Buffy and we all know how I feel about anything remotely involving Enver Gjokaj, so they're the front-runners at this point. But I am open to suggestions! Convince me!

Marshall is made of everything that is awesome and great and wonderful. I LOVE HIM.

Yup, that's him! Then he want on to become like the most powerful Jedi Master ever. And a great pilot. And he was all about the redemption, but in a snarky way. And was always underappreciated, and didn't get the girl. *sigh*

I actually read a Veronica/Buffy body swap fic. The best part was when Spike showed up and totally had Logan's number, and kept calling him "Scotty" after F. Scott Fitzgerald. Everybody was on best behavior, mostly, though. Dang.

Anyone but Mulder because the only one that gets Mulder is Scully. To suggest otherwise is blasphemy :P

John Crichton crushes on Buffy??? That's awesome. I don't remember this since it's been a few years since I've watched the series in it's entirety.

I voted for Victor/Tony, Logan Echolls, and Sam Anders, mostly because those are my favourites of the list. *g*

I voted for Mac/Willow but only in a cracky way. I know you don't care about Willow as much, but: I could see them having similar interests computer-wise, similar ends-justifies-the-means traits which could lead to great conflicts and maybe Willow's ebulliance could warm Mac's cynical heart.

I actually really, really love the idea of Buffy/nu!Kirk. It never occurred to me before, but I just kind of adore it. (Maybe it has something to do with that nu!Kirk/Kara Thrace fic I read awhile ago and I now just 'ship Jimmy T. with blonde chicks who can so clearly kick his ass six ways to Sunday.)

Ted/Buffy? Um, yes, yes, yes, a THOUSAND TIMES YES. That thought had never crossed my mind, but words cannot describe how perfect that would be.

I would also like her with Logan, but I have trouble seeing him with anyone but Veronica, so I chose Dean, Ted, and Victor.

I am rooting for Ted. Also, I have a feeling Dean could use a good ass-kicking, so I think they'd be adorable.

Crackfics coming out of the ying yang. I suggested everythign and wrote ntohing becasue I was a fucking scared lunatic all the fucking time. It was ridiculous.

Wanna hear my really real crossover OTP? Joyce Summers and Keith Mars. My all-time favorite TV single parents - I figure they do match.com with a very large match radius that spans from Neptune to Sunnydale, on the first date they both make euphemisms about the trouble their daughters get into, and Sunnydale could certainly use some good detectives in town . . . actually, when I planned this in my head, it was all about Joyce, Buffy, and Dawn trying to blend their family with Keith and Veronica - with Veronica becoming friends with Spike because of mutual snarkage (she does like those obligatory psychotic jackasses, you know - oh, and Backup likes Spike because Spike growled him into adoring submission - and Spike doesn't know why the dog follows him around so much), and Logan driving up the coast at midnight one night because he misses Veronica and stays with the family for a while (with Xander harassing Logan because he grew up on Aaron Echolls movies, and Willow creeping him out because she looks so much like Trina) . . . then they both enroll at UC Sunnydale. The end.
