People of the earth, I have an announcement:

Zone is MOODY FREAKIN' SPURGEON.

I love the universe!

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] dollsome for enlightening me.

Oh, I love those movies to itsy bitsy bits. Which is not, alas, to say that I've seen them recently enough to remember who Moody Spurgeon is. Drat.

Megan Follows is definitely my Anne, though.

Hello, you!

I am madly in love with the first movie, love parts of the second, and grow violently, violently angry at the third. It's a thing.

Moody doesn't do a whole lot in the movies (he's a bigger presence in the books, where much is made of his Big Ears), but he's one of the Avonlea kids, like Josie Pye, etc. He runs around some with Gilbert.

She's my Anne as well. The first movie was nearly perfect, especially the casting.

I actually never saw the third movie. I didn't even realize it existed until years after I saw the other two, and once I realized it had nothing to do with the book continuity, I wasn't interested. Glad to know I'm not missing anything. *g*

I really need to read them all again. It occurs to me they'd have been good comfort reads to bring back to Honduras at Christmastime.
