Fannish Friday

I got nothing for Fannish Friday today, so feel free to use the comments to talk about something your fannish about right now or some story you're engaging with and your thoughts about it, even if I know nothing about it at all. Talk fannish to me!

I feel like I have not had room to feel fannish feelings for the last week or two because I've been busy and when I've got downtown, I've just been walking documentaries instead of watching anything narrative and reading nonfiction instead of fiction. Let me live vicariously through someone else's fannishness!

I'm still playing around with it, but it's been back-burnered: I've decided it's time to start book 2 of my Victorian lady spies AU (and I can't bring myself to stop any of the other stories I've got in progress).

Well, Victorian lady spies are always a good choice!

I feel like this story is turning me into George R.R. Martin, though - not in body count, fortunately, but in number of characters. I made a dramatis personae list before starting volume 2, and between the significant named characters who survived volume 1 and the new characters I'm planning to introduce in volume 2 (all the students at the academies graduated, so I've got to have a new class of students), I've got 37 named characters!
