Does anybody have some thoughts on the newly revealed Buffy comic covers*?

I am...slightly perturbed. And then angry at myself for caring. BUT I CAN'T HELP IT, DAMNIT! My face? Looked like Bob's in my moodtheme. Just like that. And in case you were wondering, it's not the possible revelation of the identity of Twilight that bothers me. It's the thing I refer to in my tags.... Although even though I'm not reading the comics, that would be a stupid, stupid revelation. Stupid.

Otherwise: Eh. I'm so over S8 I can't even muster any surprise, either for plot events if they're actually being spoilered or reader manipulation if they're not. (Although, if there'd been a Giles/Faith portrait in the Valentine's collage, you'd have been hearing from a different Sarah. *g*)

Of course I only rec the good stuff (*g*), but actually one of the things I like about F/G is that it's a relationship I'm interested in whose potential fandom has barely begun to tap. There are a few isolated fics, yeah, but there's nothing like the sprawling Spike/Buffy epics that are a dime a dozen. (In fact, I've been having terrifying thoughts recently of trying my hand at one. A short epic, mind you. Probably with lots of white space.)
