* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. Umm...probably the whole " Stormaggedon, Dark Lord of All" thing. Matt Smith + small children/babies = FAVORITE.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. It's hard to pick a favorite character, but I'm going to go with Martha Jones' "this is me, getting out" scene. BEST.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. OH AMY AND RORY. ♥ Let's see. I love everything about them. But the scene that maybe made me flail the most is "So, you and me, we should get a drink sometime."/"Okay."/"And married."/"Fine."
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. "Blink"--Sally Sparrow! Michael Obiora being hot for the two minutes he's on screen!
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. "Vincent and the Doctor" for reasons of actual good portrayals of mental illness.
* Overall best-written episode. Haaaard. Maybe "Blink"? "Midnight" is also incredibly well-written, from what I remember.

* Favorite episode and why. This is hard, given that I watched S1 in one big block, so I don't think of it in episodes, but maybe the S1 finale?
* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. Any time the Dowager Countess gets to say something ridiculous. Which is often.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. Lady Mary has become my favorite, but Sybil was initially my favorite, and I loved when she picked out her new "dress."
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. I don't really ship anything anymore, but back when I shipped Sybil/Branson I loved whenever they had little talks in the car.
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. My favorite minor character is possibly William's dad. The William/Daisy thing was unfortunate, but him telling Daisy that she can be special to him was SO LOVELY. ♥
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. Any scene where Lavinia and Mary get to interact. FAVORITE GIRLS.
* Overall best-written episode. Definitely something in Series 1 before it went so over the top, but I'm not sure what.

(also: Liv's episode is reportedly great, and there was Maude awesomeness? But I am sad just from watching gifs of them at the gravesite, so. :/)

* Favorite episode and why. Maybe Rich's first episode?
* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. Sid and Tony stealing Chris's coffin? Probably. I also love Tony being willing to burn down the town to save Effy. SIBLINGS.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. Sid breaking down in the club after his dad dies and Tony comforting him. BOYS. ♥
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. Anything Grace and Rich, obvs, but: THE PROPOSAL SCENE BEST SCENE OF MY LIIIIIIIIIIIFE.
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. Liv's for Maude!!!!!!
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. I love the S2 finale a lot. A lot a lot. With all these characters telling each other how much they mean to each other. Favorite theme = friendship.
* Overall best-written episode. Rich's first episode.

HAHA, the coffin. I think the writers even played up the ludicrousness of that because Hit Me Baby One More Time.
Sid breaking down in the club after his dad dies and Tony comforting him.
Never over it. <3
Welcome Home, Son will give me feels for the rest of my existence.
With all these characters telling each other how much they mean to each other.
Crawling under the duvet! And "I always loved you the best"! And the fireworks and the graveyard!
No other gen will ever get a send-off like that.

HAHA, the coffin. I think the writers even played up the ludicrousness of that because Hit Me Baby One More Time.
AND THEN THEY GET THERE AND THE GIRLS ARE HORRIFIED AND THEY HAVE TO TAKE IT BACK. HAHAHAHA. I'm gonna be laughing about this for the rest of the day.
Welcome Home, Son will give me feels for the rest of my existence.
I know. I know.
Crawling under the duvet! And "I always loved you the best"! And the fireworks and the graveyard!
And the "We were good"/"We were better than that." And Anwar goes with Maxxie to London! So much perfect! It really was the perfect send-off, I felt.
no subject
They're even HIDING THE COFFIN BEHIND THEM when the girls walk in. How do you HIDE something like that?? And Maxxie's boyfriend is just like wtf, coffin, what even are your friends.
And Anwar goes with Maxxie to London!
With nothing but the clothes on his back. He kind of doesn't deserve the offer, if you think about it, but of course Maxxie doesn't give a crap!
Rich's episode: you don't think these two humans could get any cuter together, AND THEN COMES GRACE'S EPISODE AND THEY ARE FLAWLESS.
no subject
He kind of doesn't deserve the offer, if you think about it, but of course Maxxie doesn't give a crap!
He really doesn't. Anwar is my least favorite of the Gen 1 kids, though I am still fond of him. But Maxxie is SUCH a good friend.
Rich's episode: you don't think these two humans could get any cuter together, AND THEN COMES GRACE'S EPISODE AND THEY ARE FLAWLESS.
I KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW. I cannot with those two. I cannot. They are just so perfect in every single way and I love them so much it's disgusting.
So, uh, I have a one-track mind
keeping in mind it's been YEARS since i watched any of this
* Favorite episode and why. NO I REFUSE. This one is impossible.
* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. I remember being really fond of a bit about a suicidal giant teddy bear? Also, any time the boys pick REALLY OBVIOUS fake names, like ones that reference classic rock or movies or whatever.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. I remember really loving "Bad Day at Black Rock" for Dean silliness? That's the one where I AM BATMAN came from, right?
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. Lack of ship feelings for this show make this one difficult. But I remember shipping Sam with a girl name Sarah from one of the earlier episodes (I wrote a ficlet about it!).
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. Any time the Roadhouse Crew (Ash! I always forget how fond of him I am!) shows up. Also, the last two episodes of S2, because that had the special kids who had to kill each other (and also Aldis Hodge).
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. I remember liking "Faith," the one wit Julie Benz.
* Overall best-written episode. I remember liking "Nightshifter" a lot--that was the bank heist one, right? Gah, it's been so long.
Re: keeping in mind it's been YEARS since i watched any of this
Ash shows up again in S5. In heaven. It's a pretty fabulous bit.
Re: keeping in mind it's been YEARS since i watched any of this
but it also has Sam's whole "I lost my shoe" sequence, which is just brilliant
YES! SAD PUPPY SAM! I'd forgotten about that!
And the roommates I just introduced a friend to the show by way of Nightshifter.
I remember it being really taut and well-done. I think it would pull me in.
ASH! ♥

* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. "Triangle" was DELIGHTFUL. I don't even know what was going on with that, but I loved it. Also, yes, I loved "Bad Blood." Oh, and the Christmas one with Lily Tomlin was just ridiculous but I liked it.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. I forget what it's called, but the one where Scully talks to the convict who says he can communicate with her father? That one was Scully-awesome.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. The baseball one was really, really shippy. THEY FLIRTED SO MUCH.
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. The one where they end up in that little, like, Texas town with the guy who made it rain? I remember thinking that one had fun side-characters.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. The Cancer Arc for showing how much Mulder and Scully care about each other.
* Overall best-written episode. I can't choose!
no subject
That's fair! I can say in all sincerity though that if you're in late S7/early S8, then you've seen all the best episodes already, though there are some solid eps still to come. The S7 finale is really good.
"Triangle" was DELIGHTFUL. I don't even know what was going on with that, but I loved it. Also, yes, I loved "Bad Blood." Oh, and the Christmas one with Lily Tomlin was just ridiculous but I liked it.
THOSE ARE ALL THE RIGHT ANSWERS! Scully threatening Spender in "Triangle" remains one of my favorite things ever, and I love the Christmas episode too, and in fact have rewatched it the last couple of years at Christmas, because what are the holidays without a little hilarious murder/suicide? And "Bad Blood", of course, is practically perfect in every way.
I forget what it's called, but the one where Scully talks to the convict who says he can communicate with her father? That one was Scully-awesome.
"Beyond the Sea". The first episode, in my opinion, to really unleash the depths of Scully's awesomeness.
I'm not sure what I would choose as the best written episode either, but it would probably be a toss-up between "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" and "Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'". Or "Bad Blood".

". The first episode, in my opinion, to really unleash the depths of Scully's awesomeness.
Yeah, I think that's why it stuck with me.
I forgot all about Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'"! SO FUNNY!

* Favorite episode and why. I could not possibly choose!
* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. Is it crack when HARDISON HACKS HISTORY? I don't even care: BEST. Also, also! The one where Nate hypnotizes him to play the violin perfectly!
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. I really love the episode where they find those orphans in Eastern Europe? And Parker freaks out? Love that. Oh, Parker. *hugs her*
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. Hardison shows Parker how to walk in those boots. I SWOONED.
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. I am still upset that Malese Jow's little car thief character didn't get adopted into the crew.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. The San Lorenzo job has my favorite line in the history of the show: "I have a 24-year-old genius with a smart phone, and a problem with authority. You never really stood a chance." Any time Hardison's genius is acknowledged is a good day for me. MORE HARDISON WORSHIP PLEASE.
* Overall best-written episode. I really, really, really liked the writing on the one that was an "Office" spoof. SO FUNNY.

I love how he gets all loopy in that episode--because he's been awake for 40 hours or something, figuring out how to make ink out of boysenberries. He's so adorable.
"I have a 24-year-old genius with a smart phone, and a problem with authority. You never really stood a chance." Any time Hardison's genius is acknowledged is a good day for me.
Word. That's a great line. I especially love the "problem with authority" part. Because it seems like such a funny thing to say about Hardison. I mean, it's true--but he's such a pussy cat and such a team player that it's hard to think of him as having an authority problem.
YOUR CHOICES ARE ALL EXCELLENT.Especially the boot-walking choice.
no subject
They do not appreciate him enough! And he's so cuuuuute!
Because it seems like such a funny thing to say about Hardison. I mean, it's true--but he's such a pussy cat and such a team player that it's hard to think of him as having an authority problem.
I know! He's got these contradictions--he takes to the team so easily, he's probably the least damaged of all of these people. But he definitely has his own unique moral code that doesn't match up with the outside world's. He's such a good guy...but he's also a criminal. He embodies the show, I feel.
THAT SCENE. WHY DO WE NOT GET MORE SHIPPINESS LIKE THAT!
Oh! I forgot to mention side-characters-wise: Mark Sheppard ending up being the girl chess player's dad and coming to save her. LOOOOOOOOOVED IT. I wanted more of that. I just generally want more Mark Sheppard always.

* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. Everything on this show is crack now. I can't possibly choose.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. TROY IS THE FIRST BLACK GUY TO MAKE IT TO THE END.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. I'm pretty fond of Jeff/Annie when I'm actually watching them onscreen together, though I don't think about them much when I'm not. So let's go with the Conspiracy Theories one. I like them trying to teach each other lessons. AND ALL THE GUNS.
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. The election one had Magnitude and Starburns and such, right?
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. Favorite moment on the show: "Somewhere Out There" with the mouse and the singing and everything. It fulfills the theme of being AWESOME.
* Overall best-written episode. "Modern Warfare," I think.

* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. I feel like the crack hits the roof whenever Katherine walks in. And I love that about her so, so, so much. Also: all the scenes of "partying" with people dancing around the room drinking out of whiskey bottles. And, of course, any time Damon's domesticity shows.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. Any time Bonnie gets to save everyone. Which is most of the time.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. I really love all the stuff with Elena and Damon back in the day while Stefan was CRAZY ON THE BLOOD and they were trying to save him and they would sit in the dark together.
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. Anna and Pearl finding each other again made me SOB. OH ANNA. ♥
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. Any time the girls' relationships come through. I was really, really fond of Caroline telling Elena that Bonnie loves her but can't see her right now. Because that was just such an honest moment. Also any time Stefan saves Damon. OH BOYS. You are so much better together.
* Overall best-written episode. I can't choose because of the first question.
And I was thinking today that I miss Jeremy, or at least his pretty face. When is he coming back? Do we know?

REASONS WHY BONNIE SHOULD HAVE HER OWN SHOW
Whenever she's not saving the town, giving vampires aneurysms, lighting things/people on fire, it seems to be because the writers won't let her.

* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. I looooooove Aaron Echolls's death scene. So ridiculous. So perfect.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. For some reason, I'm thinking of when Veronica goes to meet Abel Koontz and he tells her that Keith isn't her dad. Or maybe it's just KBell's acting in that that makes it stick in my mind.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. The epic speech is pretty excellent, I must say. It's a classic for a reason.
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. The first one where Mac is introduced! With the virginity test thing where she makes money off of everyone! LOVE IT.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. "And for my next trick! I will take J.B. into the hallway, whisper a few magic words, and when we return, he'll confess" "TADAAAAA!" Veronica Mars is magical. And smarter than you.
* Overall best-written episode. I can't. I don't knoooow!

And then Veronica can't and Logan's face and Veronica's face and THESE TWO *shakes them*

* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. All of the one where she goes to the psychatrist. SO FUNNY AND RIDICULOUS.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. Maybe just the ways Miranda passes her time. The fruit orchestra! The Where's Miranda? game! Dressing up like the Queen and delivering a speech!
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. I really love where Stevie or Clive or whoever says something about how Miranda and Gary don't know how in love with each other they are. Because I love when my ships are acknowledged by outsiders.
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. The one minor character who's popping into my head is the guy who Miranda's mom tries to set her up with in the one where they have a Jane Austen ball? And then HE HAS THE HIGH VOICE SHE HATES. That guy cracked me up so much.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. I don't even know how to answer this for this show. How would you answer it?
* Overall best-written episode. Probably the hotel one. Probably.

* Campiest / crackiest / it’s-terrible-but-I-still-love-it episode / scene. Ben in a Batman suit. Crying.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. Leslie naming all the reasons she could have shot Ron.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. I like the bowling one, with the kisses and the punching.
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. Any time Donna gets to do anything ever. MOAR DONNA ALWAYS.
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. Ben trying to teach Andy and April how to be adults while living with them, because I want them to have a baby because Ben WOULD RAISE THAT CHILD.
* Overall best-written episode. "The Flu," probably.

* Best episode / scene for my favorite character. Priya Priya Priya in "Belonging."
* Best episode / scene for my favorite ship. "We'll look for each other."
* Best episode / scene for minor characters. I like Mags and Zone and everyone! Epitaphs!
* Best episode / scene for my favorite themes / theories / headcanons. I live in the Epitaph-verse. That's mostly what I care about.
* Overall best-written episode. BELONGING.

Yes to the Epitaph-verse. Would that the whole show was the Epitaph-verse tbh.
