i'm sorry to keep spamming y'all...

but I couldn't keep this to myself, because I know there are some of you who are just going to die: JULIAN FELLOWES LIKES GLEE.

Laura, I'll be over here rolling around on the floor with laughter when you're done frothing at the mouth.

IT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.

He also talks about how happiness is hard to dramatize. Dumbo. Not if you're a good writer; S1 was plenty dramatic but also full of happiness.

I KNOW.

. Dumbo. Not if you're a good writer; S1 was plenty dramatic but also full of happiness

Absolutely! He's confusing happiness with lack-of-conflict which is not the same thing at all. He needs to watch Parks and Rec and then call us back, basically.

I would start frothing, but I'm too busy headdesking over all the OTHER wacko shit he said...

Yeah, I know. I immediately wiped 97% of this article from my mind. I'm just gonna laugh about the Glee thing.

For the record, when you said Julian Fellowes, I thought Brian Fellows. As in:

Brian Fellows is not a trained zoologist. He's just an enthusiastic young man with an eighth grade education and a love of animals.

/relates to nothing

HAHAHAHAHA!

Of course he does. OF COURSE HE DOES!

Also:

Oh. I love Mr. Bates, Mr. Bates is one of my favorite characters.

Of course he is. OF COURSE HE IS.

OF COURSE OF COURSE OF COURSE!

My reactions exactly.

I don't know - my favorite bit of the article is the revelation that Sex and the City's Samantha is the inspiration for the Dowager Countess... and I keep imagining Maggie Smith in DA costume saying Samantha's lines and holding Samantha's props and that is keeping a smile on my face this morning. But I am immature and easily amused.

When I read Putting him through the mill and letting him come out the other end was as harsh as we were prepared to be about Matthew's injury I just thought: Man, you need to study up on some Joss, sir.

Thanks for sharing the link!

I SAW THAT

READER, I SCREAMED. Should the two shows have an offence-off, do you think? Only one left standing!

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2012-02-22 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
You were totally the first person I thought of as I was reading it. The whole time I was going, "LAURA IS GOING TO SCREAM!"

Should the two shows have an offence-off, do you think? Only one left standing!

This is an excellent idea! I think Glee would win, though.
