Buffy birthdays or Buffy Halloweens?

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2012-01-19 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooooh! I'll go with Halloween because when they (inevitably) go bad it isn't as sad as when birthdays do. POOR LITTLE BUFFALO!

[identity profile] ceciliaj.livejournal.com 2012-01-19 03:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree. I just watched All the Way last night, and even though it is probably the saddest Halloween ep, it is still pretty awesome. Hehe, Anya as a Charlie. :)

Drusilla or Darla?

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2012-01-19 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably Darla, because she has more to actually do.

Kitty Foreman or Joyce Summers?

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2012-01-19 06:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Great question! Kitty! I have my issues with Joyce (I don't think she's the worst mother ever or anything, but some of her failings bother me more than they do other people). Kitty, on the other hand, is much more consistent as a mom. Plus, she's a way funnier character--I would seriously watch the Red and Kitty Show, while I have no desire to watch a show about Joyce.

[identity profile] spuffy-noelle.livejournal.com 2012-01-19 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
I too have issues with Joyce early on in the show, and Kitty is just a hilarious character. Plus, she takes on her son's friends in a way Joyce never did. Kitty and Red interacting with the teenagers is one of the funniest parts of the show. I agree, I would watch a Kitty and Red show in a heartbeat!

Soooo I'm asking this because I don't know the specifics of your FNL opinions and I'm curious! Smash Williams or Matt Saracen?

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2012-01-19 07:32 pm (UTC)(link)
THIS IS THE HARDEST. THE HARDEST. I'm gonna go with Matt, though, just by a smidge. For one thing, we know him better--he was in a lot more episodes. And also he gives me the most heartbroken over-protective feelings of any character I've ever seen. I just can't even explain it.

But I love Smash and his face soooooo muuuuuch. And I'd definitely pick either one of them over Tim or Jason.

HA, I'm evilly pleased that I managed to come up with something challenging. Mostly because, yes, TWO FAVORITE BOYS. And I'd make the same choice you did. BOTH THEIR FACES THO. All the feelings, asdgjfadkhmrkfd.

Eleven or Sherlock?

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2012-01-19 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Eleven. He's rarely intentionally cruel the way Sherlock has been this season (STOP TALKING TO MOLLY LIKE THAT, YOU HORRIBLE JERK). Eleven has his weaknesses, but he actually likes people and is at least trying!

Hmm... Lyla Garrity or Jackie Burkhardt?

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2012-01-19 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Jackie! I go back and forth on Lyla--there are times I really love her and times I don't have any feelings on her at all (part of this is, I think, Minka Kelly's acting, which can be great but can also grate. Heh). But I always straight-up love Jackie!

Becoming v.s. The Gift.

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2012-01-20 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"The Gift." Not only because I like Buffy more as a person and relate to her more at that point (not that I don't love bitty!Buffy, because I do, but grown-up!Buffy is my GIRLFRIEND), but because I'm more invested in her relationship with Dawn than I am her relationship with Angel, and I find her GIVING HER OWN LIFE more moving than killing her boyfriend, and also I like all the moral ambiguity surrounding the episode. Also: Spike. And Anya. And Dawn. Excellence all around.

AMEN. You said it.
