sometimes i think that i'm kind of beginning to get over buffy and spike--well, not "over," really, but just that the obsessive, mad love is kind of fading into something a little more tempered?

but then.

of faces.

and all i can think is, "I LOVE THESE STUPID KIDS AND THEIR STUPID FACES SO MUCH THAT I WANT TO THROW UP AND THEN DIE."

You're right. And I think so much of it comes from A) the fact that they weren't intended to be love interests in the first place, it developed organically, and B) their relationship has gone through every possible incarnation imaginable.
