sometimes i think that i'm kind of beginning to get over buffy and spike--well, not "over," really, but just that the obsessive, mad love is kind of fading into something a little more tempered?

but then.

tumblr photosets.

of faces.

and all i can think is, "I LOVE THESE STUPID KIDS AND THEIR STUPID FACES SO MUCH THAT I WANT TO THROW UP AND THEN DIE."

I can understand how Spike can be the Little Black Dress of fandom and see how you can ship him with everything . . . but I can't actually do it. And I get squicked whenever anyone but Spike is with Buffy, so no ship hopping for me.

I haven't read anything labeling slaying as woman's work! Do you have a link to your tumblr?

I totally agree. In theory, Spike can absolutely be shipped with anyone because JM has chemistry with a literal DOOR and also everyone/thing else he was ever in a scene with. But I just have no interest in him with anyone but Buffy because I find them so emotionally satisfying together. Though I have a soft spot for Angel being in unrequited love with Spike because: YES.
