uhhhhhh.....
I have Vampire Diaries thoughts but they are anything but impressive and/or insightful.
I'm feeling pretty meh about this episode in general; I think I'm going to rewatch it because I've found that I can't concentrate when I watch things on the actual TV? I need them to be closer to me, like sitting in my lap, like on my laptop. So.
Some things, though.
WHERE WERE BONNIE AND JEREMY? I HAVE BEEN WAIIIITING FOR THOSE TWO FOR MONTHS. AND ALSO FOR CAROLINE. BUT THEN THERE WAS NO BONNIE AND NO JEREMY AND CAROLINE GOT SUCKED INTO A TYLER ROMANCE. UUUUUGH!
Alaric! But not enough of him!
I got so excited when Matt came back, and how adorable is he when he can't think of the right thing to say? His eyes when his heart's getting all broken make me want to choke up.
I liked Rose and Elena interacting--we should have seen more of them together.
The dream sequence was...weird? First of all, I was so distracted by Rose's dress that I seriously couldn't pay attention. Um, pretty sure that is not what she would have been wearing? But her hair was pretty. Also, Damon was slightly less obnoxious when around her, so I'll miss her for that. The actual death part was affecting, though. One, two, and then the stake.
Still not interested in the vampires, especially Tyler.
And Tyler needs to not kiss Caroline. Because I like them fine as friends but DO NOT WANT a romance. I was moaning in despair when he kissed her but then she pulled back: "EVERYONE NEEDS TO JUST STOP KISSING ME." OH CAROLINE. FAVORITE THING EVER. FAVORITE GIRL. MORE OF HER BEING AWESOME, LESS OF HER ONLY BEING AROUND FOR TYLER. MORE OF HER WITH ELENA AND BONNIE AND STEFAN AND HER MOM, PLEASE.
For about fifteen seconds, I liked Damon again. Those fifteen seconds were: "Not that kind of lost. Metaphorically. Existentially." WIIIIIIIN.
OH AND DAVID ANDERS IS COMING BACK NEXT EPISODE. JOHN GILBERT IN YOUR FACE. I DON'T EVEN CARE THAT NOBODY ELSE LIKES HIM, I DO, AND I AM GLAD TO SEE HIS SLIGHTLY WEIRD FACE AGAIN. (Have you ever noticed the way he holds his mouth? Very strange. Still, I likes him.)
But other than that I have no real feelings? Maybe once I rewatch?
