I read through the end of the NJO and then gave it up. I heard they were going to make Jacen go evil, and since he was my second favorite character (after Kyp, obviously), I was pissed off. Who was your fav NJO character?

Yeah, it was Jaina. They really did have a very Spuffy-like relationship, strangely enough. Gah. My first ship. I'm majorly nostalgic right now!
It was Anakin Solo, who I fangirled like a fiend XD And though I'll say that his death scene was magnificent, the reason...ugh. They killed him because "having two Anakins in one fandom is too confusing" or something along that line >.<
And now, I'm actually sort of relieved they did it, because considering what they've done to Jacen and to Mara and how they hooked Jaina up with Jagged Fel instead of Kyp, Anakin's character got off intact and awesome to the end.
My suspicion was that it was Anakin, but I thought I'd be sure. Yeah, I think what happened was they wanted to kill off one of the Solo boys, and it was going to be Jacen, but they decided to go with Anakin because of the two Anakin thing. Personally, Jacen was my second favorite character in the EU (Traitor was my far and away my favorite SW book of all times), so I was glad it wasn't him...but then they ended up making him go completely evil and having his twin sister kill him. So maybe Anakin got lucky.
