I love pop culture

+ Guess what I just watched the first three episodes of? Oh, yeah. Doctor Who, that's what.

+ I am tempted to buy this totally kick-ass Gossip Girl t-shirt. Except that I really want it to say "Blair and Chuck and Eric and Georgina" instead. Because those are my fav characters. But I think this might be a waste of money considering that I never wear t-shirts. Never. Tell me what to do?

+ Also, watch this video and make yourself laugh:

DOCTOR WHOOOOO. And what is the verdict so far?

OMG THAT SHIRT. Although it surprises me that it's not Serena&Nate&Blair&Chuck. They are the UES OT4. It is not meant to be the UES OT3 + 1 Brooklynite. (One of my friends found a website with Team Blair, Team Serena, Team Chuck, and Team Nate shirts. I feel it is imperative I possess one soon.)

I'm liking it. I think it's going to take me a bit to fall madly in love with it, but it's definitely fun.

They are the UES OT4. That's true. Even though I care nothing for Nate, it would, in essence, make it a "Non-judging Breakfast Club" shirt and then I would have to buy one.

Those shirts sound even more awesome. Link? Although I wouldn't be able to choose between Team Blair and Team Chuck. They're both so awesomely horrible.

It definitely progresses, too. Yay for positive reviews so far!

Yeah, Nate's not my fave either, but he's better than Dan so I'm chill with keeping him around.

I'll have to snag the link from the friend. And I know! It's just so difficult to pick a side.

+Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? What's that? *stares clueless*

+Alas. We can't always have what we want in life. I feel the pain.

+*falls out of chair*
*laughs*
*taers up*
*chokes on laughter*
*dies*

What's that? What's what?

It's true. But if we try sometimes, we might just find we get what we need, you know?

I'm so glad you liked it! I thought it was hilarious!

+This ... "Doctor Who" buisness. I don't understand.

Um ... no. i really don't. I don't even remember the topic of which I commented on that.

I love calm monotone voices over angry bursts. It makes me happy.

You should start watching the show with me! Everyone is apparently completely in love with it. With Doctor Who, that is. I, of course, am late getting to the party.

I love calm monotone voices over angry bursts. It makes me happy. I feel like I've been full of angry outbursts lately. It must be very disconcerting for you!

*coughs* This Doctor Who buisness ... Psh. Whatever ... I don't get it. *coughs*

You dissapoint me.

You are shunned.

SHUNNED!

LMAO, FREUD. And, "I would like to inform the audience that I sell illegal narcotics," because that is especially hilarious to a crim major. Also, with my reason/argument class. AND THE MUSIC. I am possibly still recovering from post-midterm sleep deprivation, and even more amused because of it.

ALSO, DOCTOR WHO FINALLY ;P :D How do you like it so far?

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2008-10-11 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
It's just plain hilarious, is what it is. And the music might just be the best part. And I hope your recovery is going well!

I know! I know! I should have watched it long ago! But, alas, I did not.

I'm enjoying it. I haven't fallen immediately crazy in love with it and been completely blown away with its genius the way I was with, say, Friday Night Lights or Battlestar Galactica. But I like its quirkiness and the really cheesy special effects make me giggle, so there's that. I think it's going to be kind of like the first season of Buffy for me, where I was like, yeah, this is pretty funny, but what's the big fuss about? And then I became madly, passionately in love with it. That's how I foresee it happening. But I'll keep you posted, definitely.

No, I think Doctor Who really gets better as you watch it--for me, I was completely, utterly hooked by the finale of s1--the two-parter just blew me away--but even once Captain Jack shows up, it really begins to pick up. So definitely stick with it; some of the early episodes are much better the second time around, for camp and nostalgia alone ;)

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'm planning on sticking with it, definitely, if only because everyone I know with taste who's actually seen it absolutely loves it (you're on that list, if you didn't know). But it's slow going just because I have so much else going on. But I'll keep you posted on my developing relationship with it.

[identity profile] moonlightrick.livejournal.com 2008-10-29 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
(I have taste? yay!) Personally, I find that the amount of TV I watch directly correlates with how much work I should be doing :P But yeah, I understand. Whereabouts are you now?

[identity profile] rosie1234.livejournal.com 2008-10-13 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
Doctor Who! I've seen all four seasons, give or take a few episodes I'm catching up on in season three, but for blockbuster online I just go doctor who disc one season one! :) i'm planning on rewatching all the seasons.

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2008-10-28 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I've just started it, but I figure I'll love it as much as everyone else does! ;)
