I originally discovered RHE (and Peter Enns through her) via that mutual Slacktivist friend you speak of. :D I haven't cared much for Fred Clarke, because too often for my tastes he slams the opposing view and the people holding it exactly the same way that I've had pastors slam liberal thinking and theology, and I can't deal. Links roundups might be good anyway, though, and I shall definitely looking into the others! I've read a little bit of Dianna Anderson and the experimental theology guy for RHE's links. (Although, I've never paid any attention to her comments section; maybe I should do that.)
I'm so sorry for your church difficulties. :( I wouldn't be able to deal with that either. It is deeply disappointing that no one ever tried to draw you into the church social circle, though.
