I HAVE WON NANO, Y'ALL

Just thought you'd want to know.

But now I am too emotionally exhausted to wade through my flist (why does this always seem such a daunting task? I don't know, but it does), so y'all will have to wait for replies from me. Sorry.

But I was on tumblr last night and somebody kept posting Fringe graphics, and I was like, "I want to watch that show, just for Lincoln Lee and his face." And I don't really have any desire to watch that show, but OMG LINCOLN LEE AND HIS FACE.

Which reminds me of how I am always thinking, "Merlin really sucks and I've tried to watch it like six times and can't get into it which is probably a pretty good sign that I won't ever get into it, but OMG GWEN AND HER FACE."

And then I think, "Gossip Girl stopped being guilty fun a long time ago and started sucking and I gave it up for a reason, but OMG BLAIR WALDORF AND HER FACE."

And I don't know if I'll ever get around to watching Gen 2 of Skins, but then I see a Cook gif, and I'm like, "OMG JAMES COOK AND HIS FACE."

And I actively hate Glee , but sometimes I feel a sudden attack of "OMG SANTANA LOPEZ AND HER FACE!"

And I have Officially Given Up on Once Upon a Time, but last night I was all, "OMG PRINCE CHARMING DUDE AND HIS FACE!"

[no offense to anyone who loves these shows. they just don't work for me, generally speaking.]

So I guess what I'm asking is, am I the only one who does this? Who has a bizarre amount of affection for characters on shows I don't even watch? To the point where I actively sit around wishing that the characters were on better shows so that I could watch the show and then fangirl that character for real? Please tell me I'm not the only one who does this.

Speaking of excellent faces, I think I'm going to watch Party Down soon. CALL ME, ADAM SCOTT!

HAVE AN ICON OF COLETTE'S FACE! I still have no idea of whether Pan Am is actually canceled, but anyone who would take that face off of television is a criminal.

And then hit me with this meme, okay?

RELATE ME! When you think of me, what is the first thing that pops into your mind related to me in the following 10 catergories:

What? Cancelled? What?

Hmm, I don't get Merlin, and I gave up on Once Upon a Time, and I have no interest in watching Glee.

Who has a bizarre amount of affection for characters on shows I don't even watch?

I like Alice from Twilight. If you can divorce her from Twilight, and just imaginer her having her own great adventures, she's pretty awesome. Also, HER FACE.

Seconding Alice.

Oh, I definitely do that! I also gave up on Merlin but Eoin Macken's face lured me back for one episode already and if the talk about the latest one hadn't turned me off it again that would have been more. And I started watching Shameless for Lip's face.
AND I'm currently watching Luther; the plots are terrible and all the characters are stupid but Idris Elba and Ruth Wilson make the cutest faces at each other for like five minutes every episode and that's worth it. ;)

I could go on but just rest assured ~you are not alone~.

CONGRATS WITH NANO!

LOL I started Merlin because of MORGANA AND HER FACE! But then the writers did such a bad job with her after series 1 that I stopped watching the show. Actually, they failed with Gwen, too. Every once in a while I'll look up a Merlin video and just stare at the pretty. Katie and Bradley (Arthur) need to costar in a romantic movie NOW.

BUT FRINGE IS AMAZING! Heads up, though. Lincoln Lee and his face doesn't show up until the end of season 2. BUT HE IS A GREAT CHARACTER AND I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! It's a bit slow to start but it gets so good.

Fringe is SO GOOD (even though I'm two seasons behind) but FACES!

What I do is I see the faces of people on shows I watch and I go all THAT'S WHY I WATCH THAT SHOW!

But I've been doing that for all the Snow White/Prince Charming graphics I see. I want to watch this show and like it, I really do, but it's got Issues with a capital Ish.

And what do we do with this meme?

Congratulations on NaNo!

I watched Glee in the first place because of my affection for Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff's faces, especially their faces together. So.

Blair's face! LEIGHTON, PLEASE BE IN THINGS I LIKE TO WATCH.

I'm eyeing Fringe, one of the reasons being: dammit, Joshua Jackson, I will never not find you attractive.

Oh, and here's something weirder: I have this vitriolic hate for Cook, the way some people hate Xander and Damon, and so I have the opposite of your reaction to his face (it's like an involuntary reflex)...but I really, really like Jack O' Connell's face when he's not Cook.

Oh look! [livejournal.com profile] anythingbutgrey wrote a convenient playlist for those interested in watching Fringe for Lincoln Lee and his face (and also Lincoln/Olivia and alternate universe fun times). It's actually a really good "this is how you should watch Fringe period" primer in general. Not that I am enabling or anything (though really, I don't think Fringe really belongs in the same category as the other shows you've listed. We had a falling out in the back half of season 3 but otherwise it has been good to me).

Oh, the many shows I have watched because of people and their dumb faces! I only recently gave up on True Blood, which I was only watching for Jessica Hamby and her face.

Congrats! *Throws confetti* Feels good to be done doesn't it?

What did you write about?

Oooh! Watch Party Down! Then we can talk about it and go all googly over Adam Scott and Lizzie Caplan together. Ooh! And Ryan Hansen (aka Dick Casablancas!) and Jane Lynch! And Megan Mullaly! And and and it's just awesome. And there's some super-excellent cameos from other actors! Watch! Hooray!
