Well, at least the billboard of Dr. TJ Eckleburg will look very dramatic! Aside from that, I don't get what the point of 3D for this movie is either, but it's being directed by Baz Luhrmann, who does favor bright, eye-popping visuals. I'm sure if it had been in vogue at the time, he would have filmed Moulin Rouge in 3D, just to have a scene with Nicole Kidman floating above the audience on a trapeze in her big entrance.
