So sorry for your plight!

I lived in Nebraska for 2 years and when I got there my first question was, "Dear God, what is that infernal racket?" Cicadas suck.

Thank Heaven I'm back in the Pacific Northwest.

I'm actually pretty good at blocking out the noise (at least, I don't have a lot of memories of the noise, but that was 13 years ago), but just seeing them everywhere grosses me out so much. Yuck!
