From [livejournal.com profile] fannish5:

Name your 5 favorite fictional marriages.

1. Nick and Nora Charles, The Thin Man movies
2. Eric and Tami Taylor, Friday Night Lights
3. Gen and Attolia, The Queen's Thief series
4. Han and Leia Organa Solo, from all those years of reading Star Wars Expanded Universe novels
5. Shin and Chae-kyeong, Goong (don't judge me!)

Oh god, Gen and Attolia. I love them so much.

They are flawless in every conceivable way.

O FICTIONAL MARRIED PEOPLE ♥ ♥ ♥

I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! ♥ ♥ ♥

There should seriously be way more awesome married couples. Writers should write more of them.

ONE AND THREE. ONE AND THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

I have a tumblr tag entitled #BEST MARRIAGE OF ALL TIME. THE END. and it is subdivided between those two—with a dash of Morticia and Gomez Addams. I don't have a marriage kink necessarily, but GOD DO I HAVE A SYMBIOTIC-HUMANS KINK (THAT IS SOMETIMES FULFILLED BY MARRIED PEOPLE).

THE BESSSSSSST.

I love that tag. I make a happy face whenever I see it.

GOD DO I HAVE A SYMBIOTIC-HUMANS KINK

Oh, I seriously have one of those, too. With added marriage kink on top.

:D

Oh, man, I love Nick and Nora. My husband and I quote the first two movies at each other all the time. Eric and Tami rock on a completely different level.

Those movies are INCREDIBLY quotable. And Eric and Tami are so lovely and real.

NICK AND NORAH FOR THE WIN BABY!

Laaaauren. You really do need to watch ShakespeaRe-told. So many weddings, so many marriages, so many different takes on what marriage ought to be. (Plus the whole Kate/Petruchio thing I raved to you about. But Much Ado About Nothing has awesome marriage-analysis too. Plus, Billie Piper!)

As to me, I need to read The Queen's Thief.

I really, really do! I will let you know if I can hunt down a copy! Now I really want to check it out!

YOU SO DO. READ THEM NOOOOOOOOOW. You will die of love.

Have you had a mass flaily geek-out session yet about the Queen's Thief series? If so, I missed it (woe!) and if not, then THERE SHOULD BE ONE. And I will FLAIL WITH YOU.

[identity profile] penny-lane-42.livejournal.com 2011-04-20 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I've mostly just mentioned it here and there. BUT I WILL FLAIL WITH YOU KNOW. How do those books even exist? I feel like she wrote them just for me!
