TV Meme FTW!

This meme (which I stole from [profile] that_september) is so ridiculously hard.  You have no idea.  I mean, just narrowing down to five items in each category?  Just about killed me.  And I may have to come back and change things later.   But it was fun, nonetheless.

Back in the Day: 5 TV Shows You Loved As A Kid
"Wishbone"  (I'm convinced that most of the basis of my literary knowledge is because of that show.  Wishbone FTW!)
"Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?"  (I was really good at this show.  It made me happy)
"Ghostwriter"  (I barely remember it, but I remember loving it)
"The Andy Griffith Show"  (I literally grew up on this one.  I've seen so many episodes, it isn't even funny.  I can quote from this show all day long)
"Due South"  (Again, I remember really loving it, but I barely remember anything about it.  In retrospect, I'm sure it was much smarter than I was aware of as a little kid)

We didn't have cable so I didn't watch very many shows.

Who Would You Do?: 5 TV Characters You Would...Well, It's Self-Explanatory
1.  Logan Echolls  (He owns my soul always and forever)
2.  Dean Winchester  ("It's like...looking...into...the sun...")
3.  Malcolm Reynolds  (He might be the perfect man)
4.  Spike (cliche, I know, but for serious)
5.  Adam Munroe (So he's evil.  So who cares?)

What? No, No, I Don't Watch That...: 5 Guilty Pleasure TV Shows
"Best Week Ever"  (I shouldn't be filling my head with pop culture this way, but the snark!  Oh, the snark!)
"Supernatural"  (Yes, it's so much smarter and more worthwhile than most people realize, but I still never admit to anyone that I watch it)
"Designing Women"  (It is still funny.  Makes me so glad to be a Southern woman.  And no one can monologue like Julie Sugarbaker)
"Life with Derek"  (Oh, y'all.  It's so addictive.  And I'm such a perv.  I always rant about incest, but I want the step-siblings on this show to hook up.  They have fan-freakin'-tastic chemistry, and I have a crush on Michael Seater.  There's some great fic out there, too)
Uh...  Any VH1 special (No Celebreality.  I'd shoot myself first.  What I mean by this is "I Love the 80s" or "Greatest One Hit Wonders" or something along those lines)

Wow: 5 TV Moments You Still Remember (And Probably Won't Forget)
1.  The first episode of Lost.  I may have abandoned this show, but it will always be the first show to capture my imagination and turn me into a fangirl.
2.  All of "You're Welcome."  Cordelia Chase is my hero, y'all.  Also all of "Not Fade Away."  The perfect series finale.  Perfect.
3.  Logan and Veronica's first kiss.  I agree with [profile] that_september; it's perfect.
4.  The joy that was watching "Once More with Feeling" for the first time.
5.   Inara crying over Mal in "Heart of Gold"  (I have no idea why this one touched me so deeply, but it did.  Ripped my heart out and stomped all over it)

"Tossed Salads and Scrambled Eggs": 5 TV Theme Songs You Know (and Love) By Heart
"Veronica Mars"
"Andy Griffith"
"Gilmore Girls"  (Carole King is so underrated, y'all)
"Firefly" (definitely)
"Friday Night Lights"  (So it's just music.  It still gives me goosebumps when paired with those images)

Eh: 5 Shows You Just Can't Get Into"
"Smallville"
"The O.C."
"Moonlight"
Uh....I'll have to come back to this one.

The Starting Line-Up: 5 Channels You Go To First When You Sit Down to Watch TV
Discovery Channel
History Channel
VH1
Disney Channel (No judging please!  I'm always hoping that either "Life with Derek" or one of those old Original Movies from back in the day will be on.  I'm usually disappointed, but so what?)
TV Guide channel (so that's a cop out.  So sue me.)

This Is An Environment of Welcoming, and You Should Just Get the Hell Out Of Here: 5 TV Characters You Could Do Without
Kennedy from Buffy (I have never wanted to kill a character like I do her)
Ruby from Supernatural.  (Get out of my fandom!)
Jackie from Veronica Mars.  (I don't hate her, but she just sort of bothers me.  The only reason I'm okay with her is because she kept Wallace onscreen)
Simone on Heroes  (Did she serve any purpose at all?  Really?)
Buddy Garrity from Friday Night Lights (Yes, he is a good character from a technical perspective and the show would lack something without him.  No, I cannot stand seeing him on my television screen)

That's What She Said: 5 Quotes That Still Resonate
"I thought our love was epic, you know?  Lives ruined, blood shed.  Spanning centuries and continents. Epic."--Logan Echolls
Giles's speech about books in "I Robot, You Jane"*
"Life is too short to spend with people who annoy you."  - Red, That 70s Show
Julia's "The Night the Lights Really Went Out in Georgia" and all-the-things-Southerners-eat speeches from Designing Women*
Anything that comes out of Spike's mouth in "Fool for Love" or "Lover's Walk"  (Highlights include but are not limited to "I may be love's bitch, but at least I'm man enough to admit it;"  "You'll fight and you'll shag and you'll hate each other till it makes you quiver, but you'll never be friends;"  "What can I tell you, baby?  I've always been bad;"  "You know you wanna dance;"  "That's all we've ever done;"  and the ever-classic "...inspired by your beauty effulgent."  Plus about a million more.)

Gimme More: 5 Shows You Can Never Get Enough Of
Veronica Mars
Buffy
Firefly
That 70s Show
Supernatural

*I'd be glad to provide the full quotes, if you want.  They're just really long.
