I only know about a third of these characters, but of the males I know (Spike, Ron, Edmund), I see a pattern of insecurity, especially in regards to thinking they're unwanted by or superfluous to their group (Edmund really only for LW&W, though). May I steal this meme? It's fun (and difficult) pegging down favorites.
