WORD WORD WORD all over this damn post. I love Community. I love Jeff/Annie. Yes, many of my favourite episodes involve them having a ~thing. I was perfectly satisfied with having little moments between them here and there, but it seems like the writers are trying to have it both ways - playing up shippy moments, then backtracking when some fans bitch about there being too much relationship stuff. Writers just need to have confidence in their own story and stop listening to certain vocal fan groups. They're never going to please everyone. I think the advent of Twitter, etc. have had a detrimental effect on TV writing because they've broken down the fourth wall between fandom and the people making the product, and that wall is incredibly important imo.

Also: hipsters suck.
