I guess that the laughs aren't really what draw me to the Buffyverse. My favorite seasons by far are 5-7, when it grows much more dark and adult. I'm worrying that they'll sort of...devolve Buffy back to the quippy little valley girl, and that's not a place I'm interested in going. I don't want goofy, though I'm not against it in principle, just in my own personal preferences.

Well, I mean 'laugh' in the sense of 'enjoyable' rather than a laugh-riot or something, but, still, fair enough. Though it does sound like they're going to try for something more mature than the high school years (which TBH is what I'd expect from a Joss-helmed reboot anyway).
