And I agree that I hate reading fics in which Xander is an out-and-out monster, because he clearly isn't. I'm not a fan of bashing fic; I don't write it and I don't like to read it. But Xander in particular has flaws that drive me UP THE WALL. I can see that he's complex and has a lot going on...but I don't like him enough to care. So I typically just ignore him. I've taken this one day to wallow in hate by reading all those horrible things he said, and tomorrow I'm going back to loving Buffy and Spike and Dawn and whoever and that will be that.
