Yeah, I agree, but I feel like...he has aspects of both, in a way? I feel like for the most part he followed the JM route of unexpected-talent-plus-chemistry-with-lead-actress, but I'm also remembering how back in the first handful of episodes, when he was just the good ol' Obligatory Psychotic Jackass, fandom hated him right off the bat like they were supposed to, and he even played that thus-far-undeveloped originalflavor!Logan so well, too.

And...I'm not exactly sure what I'm trying to articulate? Ahahaha. It just feels like a mix of the two to me, where the show got a surprise standout in him, but he was also very perfectly casted and meant to be even with the limited OPJ!Logan.

YMMV, of course. I am actually vaguely surprised that I think this, given that I don't particularly like Logan that much past season one.
